I arrived with my septuagenarian parents on April 27 for a week-long stay. The hotel provided us with the right room classification on arrival, but I was concerned that the suite was single bathroom instead of two and the closet space was not optimal for our needs. Annamaria, Victoria and Samuele stand out as front office staff who listened and acted swiftly to help address our request for help and resolved the issue the next day. That was the first wow moment of our stay. I also recommend the breakfast (came with our reservation package) and you should take advantage of the Rooftop Bar, the view of the Duomo and across the city 360 degress is suberb. After 10+ visits to Florence, this hotel has become my new preferred location and I anticipate returning here in the years to come.

Housed in a beautiful old building in a very central location. The character of the building has been well maintained in the public areas and our suite had lovely contemporary decor which mixed perfectly with the 18th century painted ceiling. Within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Great value for money. But best of all has to be the amazing staff - extremely friendly, patient and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.

An absolute jewel! The Hotel Bernini Palace is special for many reasons, but here are a few: Stefania and her front office team were amazing. From arranging tours to taking care of our money exchange needs, they really were top shelf! House Keeping was phenomenal. Our room was immaculate every afternoon when we returned Breakfast- The only thing that rivaled the servers was the beautiful room in which they served. We highly recommend this hotel!!It is centrally located.

The room has a sense of design. Although it is not very big, it is very warm and comfortable. The only problem with this room type is that it is on the half floor and needs to go down a very narrow staircase. There are still several steps in the room. Big boxes are very unfriendly! The breakfast is still very good, you can sit outside and feel it.

This is a lovely, clean hotel with good facilities and location and an excellent breakfast. It has a very traditional decor, with a modern bathroom. Our room was pleasant enough but the window faced a wall and had huge shutters which we couldn't open. Hence, there was hardly any natural light in the room. I also found the staff a bit unfriendly, especially at the reception desk. There was no greeting if you walked past, and they did seem slightly condescending - not the usual friendliness you would expect on a reception desk. The staff at breakfast were much nicer. I liked this hotel, but a little friendliness and a smile go a long way and would have enhanced our stay.

I am not writing this type of reviews often, but unfortunately this time I have to in order to reflect the reality about this hotel. Prior to this hotel we stayed at another hotel in Rome also 4-star that we really enjoyed (price level and distance from city center was similar). Firstly, I would like to point out that this hotel, even though it has 4 stars, cannot be considered to be a European-level 4-star hotel at all, at maximum a refurbished 3-star hotel. Given the price and its location, I would like to tell you straight, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially given the further circumstances described below. Secondly, I have not read many negative reviews regarding the noise level, but would like to shed some light on that. Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got the room facing the hotel parking and front road. I cannot say that there was a lot of noise from the road, but you could definitely hear cars from the road. But the biggest problem is the noise insultaion, or more precisely its complete absence. We could hear our neighbours talking in the other room like they were in our room. Our neighbours were awake until late night and we could hear them receiving messages while chatting on the phone and it seemed like the phone was vibrating each time near your ear. There was also noise from outside and other neighbours (it was partially not clear where it was coming from), so overall an awful experience also given the fact that each room has roller blinds and some people are using them at night and each time you can hear the mechanism working (it is quite loud). When people flush in other rooms, it sounds like it starts raining heavily. To sum up, insulation is really bad. Thirdly, the room was furbished at the level of refurbished 3-star hotel, the old hairdriers from the 20th century, only one card key, thus you cannot leave the AC on when you leave the room. Room was not ventilated at all once we arrived, so it was very hot to sleep and smell was not very pleasant. Breakfast at the level of 3-star hotel maximum and they do not let people finish their breakfast telling at 9:55am that you have to leave in 5 minutes since the breakfast time ends at 10am. As a cherry on the tart, when we were leaving we were told that the water in the room was not complimentary when we arrived, even though we did not found anywhere information with pricing of water in the room. When I asked where we could find price list for water in the room, as I belive it should be clearly placed in a visible spot, the person at reception firstly insulted us in Italian (not knowing that we speak Italian) and then just answered arrogantly ”it is in the room”, showing that he does not want to speak with us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behaviour from staff, you are paying them for being treated in such a manner... Overall, I understand that Florence is an expensive and crowded city, but in this instance when we unfortunately had only extremely negativ

The location of the room is good, in the urban area, the room can be considered as a big, very fine hotel! The lobby of the hotel is very stylish. Breakfast dining environment is also good! The layout of the room, a family of three 👨‍👩‍👧 will not be crowded when staying! The child's bed is on the other side of the room. Good space, three suitcases don't feel too crowded! The bathroom space is not small, the shower room is very interesting, it is flexible and retractable! The hotel's air conditioner is a bit hot, and the air conditioner is turned off, but I still feel a bit hot! Everything else is fine! Very cost-effective hotel.

The lift doesn’t need a room card to get up to the room, and I read online that there’s someone tried to break into the room before. So when I checked in my room, I checked and there were really a lot of scratches on our door handles. can’t help to think that might be true. :(

The location is first-class, the environment is very good, the breakfast is comfortable, and the service is absolute. This hotel is really not a good place to go on a business trip, and I like it very much. But the facilities make people feel uncomfortable, although the owner should be sincere. The air conditioning system seems to have cost a lot of money, but guests cannot control it themselves. They need to contact the front desk every time and it starts very slowly, which makes people feel troublesome. The lights in the toilet are so bright that you probably won't be able to sleep if you go to the toilet at night. There were bugs in the room. I saw an electric mosquito coil, but I didn't think it was bedbugs. Fortunately, I didn't find any itching problem after staying for two nights. The front desk clerk checks in and sends you to your room after completing the check-in process. Haha, it feels weird. If the hotel and room facilities are quite satisfactory, you don't need such service. The curtains in the room are also weird. The outermost layer is half-opened. Haha, the shape is unique. The wardrobe is also weird. This is the first time I am so confused about reviewing a hotel. Overall it is good, but I feel that many places are a bit strange. So I canceled my last night's stay and moved to another hotel.

Excellent! Upon arrival, they took note for us to check in and as it was early they kept our bags for us. Later, when they arrived they were already in the room. We found some sweets at the door, with a personalized dedication to us, a great detail! When we left, they also kept more bags for us until it was time for our train. Very kind, friendly and generous workers. It is not found everywhere. Great facilities and sublime breakfast! I would repeat without hesitation.

Please remove 'B&B' from the name. This is a very nice hotel. One of the best during my travel from Pisa to Venice (by rented car). I was in a bad mood when arriving at the hotel after trying to get there using Google maps. Firenze must be one of the cities in the world with the highest number of one-way roads. After driving in circles for 1,5 hours we found a valet parking at the central station and walked the last 600 meters (or so) to the hotel. Cool air in the lobby. Really friendly and helpful staff. Good in english language. Supported the very best with all our ”stupid” questions. The room was nice and clean. The bed a bit hard, but that's the same all over Italy. The breakfast had it all I could ask for - except espresso in the machine, but you can always have a 'coffee americano' and consider it to be a really huge espresso. And, yes. It's not anything special with this hotel - wherever you are in Italy you will have a lot of bread to eat. Crispy, soft, toasts, buns, muffins, croissants, in pie versions or more but always yummy). We stayed one night only but have to come back and why not to B&B Hotel Firenze Laurus Al Duomo.

The location is excellent, you can walk to the train station and Santa Maria del Fiore Church in less than ten minutes from the hotel. As soon as you enter, you will find that the hotel lobby and dining area are connected. The room decoration is very new, and it can be seen that every part of the room and corridor has been designed with great care. The facilities are generally complete, with USB charging ports on the wall and free drinks in the minibar, which is a better experience for short-stay travelers. We stayed for 3 nights in April, the Hotel was clean, convenient, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely without exception. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff and room service were friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. Our room was at the rear of the hotel (204) with a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The view was nothing special as it overlooked the rear of other properties but it was nice and comfortable and very quite. There is a Spa that you can book for your exclusive use. This is sometimes included in your deal but otherwise is 25 euros each for 50 minutes and well worth it. The view from the roof top is superb and you can get a drink from the reception bar and take it up there or even take your own bottle of wine! Breakfast centres mainly on pastries, fruits and meats. There is a “hot” option of eggs and bacon but is only ever warm at best. However, the pastries are very nice and more than enough available. It also has to be the most convenient trip I have ever experienced from Airport to hotel! Exit the airport turn left and walk to the tram stop about a minute away. Take the T2 tram to UNITA and get off at Rosselli. That’s it!, it takes about 20 minutes and when the t4am leave you will be facing the hotel. It cost 1.50 euros each. You can buy the tickets on the tram platform but I would visit the shop Hudson as others have mentioned on here and get them there as there can be a queue to get your ticket on the platform. Don’t forget to slide it into the machine to validate it when you board. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk for the “Dome” in the centre and about 25 minutes to the bridges on the river. There are some excellent restaurants such as Casa Ciabattini and Osteria Vecchio Cancellous within 6/7 minute walk both of which I would highly recommend. I would not hesitate to return.

The service was excellent.. breakfast staff is wonderful..but could do with more variety..same every day. Fine for a 3 day stay! The hotel does not have many quiet rooms. You make a choice... the rooms with nice views have noise from cars honking and the train station. You can hear people talking in rooms next-door and in the hallway! The doors have gaps all around. The elevators are not easy to figure out: ABCD some only go to O, 1 &2(B) others do not go to reception without changing elevators or walking long distances. Check the bar prices before ordering..cover charges added to already expensive prices..our hamburgers ended up costing well over $20 each.. And they charge for the two bottles of water in the fridge in the room. The location is very convenient to SMN station.Consider easy day trips by train to Viareggio and Pistoia. the hotel is walking distance to many tourist sites. Lots of restaurants nearby. Photos include views of Duomo from rooms and in person and University Botanical Gardens near San Marco

Location and Service are strong points of Hotel delle nazioni. however, a broken toilet button (that got resolved) should have not occurred. The staff member came up and fixed it in timely fashion. Th facility score is lower because of the noise from the tram outside our windows staritng at 0500 and going up to 2030 in the evening was distracting, plus the discard pipes from shower and toilet use by the upstairs room made for alot of noise and difficulty in sleeping. Good breakfast and service. Hotel is near the Firenze train station but is farther away from the attractions to see in FLorence.

The dinner was delicious, especially the Tuscan dessert - sponge cake filled with cream. The service was very attentive, but not overbearing. The included breakfast was very fresh and there was enough variety of hot and cold items to make a complete meal. This boutique hotel is easy walking distance from the Florence train station, which makes it an ideal hub for exploring the entire country. I loved The Grand Hotel Adriatico three years ago and it was just as great this time as well.

If you are coming to Florence (Firenze) via the train, staying at the Hotel Mercure Firenze Centro is a good choice as it is located just about a block away. It maybe a bit tricky to locate it the sign is not very apparent and is somewhat small. It is more visible from across the street. There is also a side entrance .When we were there in July 2022, they had a mandatory appointment time to reserve for the continental breakfast each morning starting at 7a.m. to avoid overcrowding and social distancing. Hotel Mercure Firenze Centro is a very convenient 10 minute walk to the Duomo. The service was very efficient at check in and they were very more than welcome to store our luggage as check in time wasn't until after 4p.m. The rooms are very huge and daily room service was good.

The “bathroom” in our room is a 3 by 5 closet with toilet, sink, and shower. Super cramped. No sudden movements allowed. The water in the shower doesn’t get hotter than lukewarm and runs at a low flow rate. Very small bars of cheap soap. No conditioner. The last time the bathroom was updated: sometime in the 20th century. Our room was quite small and with old furniture. Minuscule TV. Beds ok but basic. Clean. Lots of noise throughout the hotel, from the restaurant upstairs (stops at 11:30pm) and from all directions until the last guest is asleep. No ground floor entrance. That’s means that you have to carry all your luggage up a steep set of stairs to the second floor where you will pile into a tiny elevator — once it comes. Breakfast ok. Eggs were dry. Condiments and champagne were provided upon request. Overall friendly staff. Fantastic location. Fantastic location.

We love this place and have stayed here three times. The best feature is the location, location, location. It is right on Florence’s main square, right next to the the Duomo. From your room you overlook the square, the cathedral and baptistry. The large apartments are perfect for couples sharing or a family. We have stayed in both the 2 and the 3 bedroom apartments – it’s so good to find a 3 bedroom apartment for a family. 
LOCATION & VIEW: You can’t get better than this. The first time I saw these apartments, I couldn't believe that we were overlooking the Duomo and Brunelleschi’s magnificent red dome from our room. It really was as beautiful as it sounds and I could hardly move myself away from the windows. I must have taken 100 photos. It was even better in the evening, when the lighting on the cathedral made it look so dramatic and beautiful. Just about everything is only 2 – 5 minutes walk away - the Uffizi, Piazza Della Signora, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, Mercato Centrale. We found it ideal, especially in summer, to be able to pop ‘home’ and have a brief respite from the heat or a cup of tea when we needed a break. It is also less than 10 min walk from the train station.

SERVICE: Service was cheerful and welcoming on arrival and they made us feel at home. They also had a few handy restaurant and shopping tips. The desk is not always manned so you always need to take your keys with you, but that’s hardly a problem.

ROOM: The apartments are large and spacious. Décor is attractive and is suited to the style of the old palazzo building. We felt like we had a lovely space to come back to and relax in at the end of a busy day. The kitchen space is large and open and is well equipped if you are planning on preparing meals. We had breakfast each morning but we didn't cook. What was very handy was being able to pop out to the nearby Mercato Centrale and grab cold meats, cheeses and olives for an easy lunch or for something to go with pre-dinner drinks. Coffee, tea and some basics like oil etc are supplied. There are two bathrooms which is sooo convenient when there are more than 2 of you. Bathrooms were compact but very clean. Whilst they weren’t large, they were certainly an adequate size. There is a daily housekeeping service. Some rooms have a balcony. Wifi is free and very quick OTHER NOTES: • The apartments facing the front of the building can be noisy. A couple of years ago, we had a two bedroom apartment and the front bedroom got all the noise (the other bedroom was fine). I personally like it better, facing the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and going out is the queue 😄. Within 1 km of the surrounding area, there are many attractions, many restaurants, and many shops. If you are tired, go back to the hotel and rest before you come out to continue. Very convenient! The hotel service is very good, the front desk is small, but you must answer any questions, there are people on duty 24 hours, everything will be resolved immediately. There is also a 24-hour beverage bar, coffee and tea sparkling water, cookies, and sweet wine before going to bed. You can pick it up at any time. The funniest thing is to wear it in pajamas. Although the facilities and equipment are flawed, they are pretty good. My partner and I spent a weekend in Florence and had an amazing stay here. The accommodation is a short walk from the tram station and the central market with easy access to all the major sites. Our room was clean, modern, spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with a lovely bottle of Chianti awaiting our arrival. The breakfast is extensive with a good range of options and a great choice of good quality products. The host, Celestine, is the kindest, most caring and considerate man you will ever meet who went above and beyond in ensuring that we enjoyed our weekend away. His communication pre-arrival was excellent. He greeted us on arrival and carried our cases up two flights of stairs, and then spent time making some excellent recommendations in terms of restaurants and places to visit on our arrival. I was seriously ill on our last day of our stay and Celestine checked in regularly with my partner sending regular messages to see if I was ok or needed anything. Following the cancellation of our flight back to the UK on the Sunday evening due to the storm, Celestine was extremely helpful in allowing us to keep our room and extend our stay for another night. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking to stay in Florence.

I am not writing this type of reviews often, but unfortunately this time I have to in order to reflect the reality about this hotel. Prior to this hotel we stayed at another hotel in Rome also 4-star that we really enjoyed (price level and distance from city center was similar). Firstly, I would like to point out that this hotel, even though it has 4 stars, cannot be considered to be a European-level 4-star hotel at all, at maximum a refurbished 3-star hotel. Given the price and its location, I would like to tell you straight, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially given the further circumstances described below. Secondly, I have not read many negative reviews regarding the noise level, but would like to shed some light on that. Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got the room facing the hotel parking and front road. I cannot say that there was a lot of noise from the road, but you could definitely hear cars from the road. But the biggest problem is the noise insultaion, or more precisely its complete absence. We could hear our neighbours talking in the other room like they were in our room. Our neighbours were awake until late night and we could hear them receiving messages while chatting on the phone and it seemed like the phone was vibrating each time near your ear. There was also noise from outside and other neighbours (it was partially not clear where it was coming from), so overall an awful experience also given the fact that each room has roller blinds and some people are using them at night and each time you can hear the mechanism working (it is quite loud). When people flush in other rooms, it sounds like it starts raining heavily. To sum up, insulation is really bad. Thirdly, the room was furbished at the level of refurbished 3-star hotel, the old hairdriers from the 20th century, only one card key, thus you cannot leave the AC on when you leave the room. Room was not ventilated at all once we arrived, so it was very hot to sleep and smell was not very pleasant. Breakfast at the level of 3-star hotel maximum and they do not let people finish their breakfast telling at 9:55am that you have to leave in 5 minutes since the breakfast time ends at 10am. As a cherry on the tart, when we were leaving we were told that the water in the room was not complimentary when we arrived, even though we did not found anywhere information with pricing of water in the room. When I asked where we could find price list for water in the room, as I belive it should be clearly placed in a visible spot, the person at reception firstly insulted us in Italian (not knowing that we speak Italian) and then just answered arrogantly ”it is in the room”, showing that he does not want to speak with us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behaviour from staff, you are paying them for being treated in such a manner... Overall, I understand that Florence is an expensive and crowded city, but in this instance when we unfortunately had only extremely negativ

I stayed for 2 nights in this small hotel in the centre of Florence, excellent location to return after lunch to rest and also to leave the evening! very clean and bedroom in French, also the small but functional and clean bathroom. Very kind staff, it is only a pity that breakfast in this period is only offered hot drinks from a car, but very good! To access the hotel at any time, besides the reception time, access codes are provided, very convenient, check in is made after 14:00 while check out by 11:00. But I was allowed to leave my baggage in storage until mid- afternoon, a great courtesy. I found myself very good and I am sure I will be very busy back in this building.

First off our triple room didn't look like the picture but worse was that it had a sewage smell. When I spoke to the front desk they said nothing could be done that day however they could change our room the following day before 2pm. When I went back the same individual gave me a hard time saying it was too late the rooms were cleaned etc. I persisted with what he told me the day before and then with agitation asked what was wrong with the room. I told him it was the sewage smell, he asked in Italian one of the staff if it was true and she confirmed in Italian that it was defiantly smelly. Needless to say I understand Italian but did not lead on. He stated there was a room available but much smaller. The female took us up to see the room and we agreed to change as room did not smell. I did not question him on the difference in price as he was so unapproachable. We learned latter that day that the air conditioning did not work, so we had to keep the window open through the entire time. Needless to say that it was very noisy as the room back into the alley way. I WOULD ALSO like to say the breakfast was poor selection however the gentleman that worked there was very efficient in keeping the cappuccinos going and cleaning up the tables to make room for all to sit. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL AND WILL ADVISE EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO GO THERE. WE SPENT SO MUCH MONEY FOR THIS PLACE, I FEEL WE WERE ROBBED.

I couldn’t have picked a better located hotel if I had tried!! It is literal steps from the Duomo and the views from the rooftop terrace make any flaw inconsequential. I would absolutely stay here again if I came back to Florence. The hotel is located on the fourth floor of the building, but there is an elevator to take you up. The rooms are a little worn, and could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they are nice. The beds could also be updated, they are definitely on the firm side, but they aren’t uncomfortable. The bathroom towels were far better than the average hotel. Other people said the staff was rude, but I didn’t find that. There was an older gentleman who wasn’t particularly friendly, but he wasn’t rude at all. Breakfast was good, I just wish it started a little earlier.
