Grecotel Astir Alexandroupolis

TMC Group would like to share its experience in organizing a corporate event on September 29/October 1st at Grecotel Astir Egnatia. Words are just not enough to express the gratitude we have for the whole team which helped make this event a resounding success. We are extremely grateful to Panagiotis and the reception team for making sure the experience was off to a great start with fast check-in and by taking care not only that the rooms were ready early on, but also checking in everybody as soon as the rooms were available. The accommodations were wonderful, clean, and with a gorgeous view.Also during our stay, they catered to all the whims and wishes of our guests without hesitation or delay in service. After such a great start the day continued with a welcoming pool party that was impeccably organized, starting with the table placement, which was done per our instructions, and continuing with exquisite food and irreproachable service. Our event ended with the Gala Dinner and we will be forever thankful to Kyriakos and the F&B team. The decor turned the conference room into a gorgeous ballroom and it was done with no time to spare. The service was impressive, fast, and hassle-free; the food was excellent and the corporate event was a success thanks to everyone who went above and beyond. We are looking forward to returning to Grecotel Astir Egnatia and it will be one of our top destinations for future corporate events.

We enjoyed our visit at the hotel, but it would have been nice to have a privacy screen between the private pools and along the drive and walk way. More privacy in the private pools, so that workers and guest could not see you in the pool.

Disappointed! Not clean! We ask three times at reception to cleanup our room. But still’s not enough.And that’s the way we were all day out because of baby…the breakfast was good, and the location was nice. The price does not meet expectations.

Welcome staff at reception was very nice and kind. Breakfast was good, fresh. Coffee machine was my favorite, it was the best coffee I had in a hotel. Our room was nice, it had two floors and 2 king beds, 2 couples can stay at this room easily. However; there are things that made us unhappy about our stay. Our room was very dirty, filthy actually. There were hair in bathtub, the toilet was dirty and balcony had hairballs on the floor. Apparently room service does not clean they only change the sheets. The lamp had a huge spider net and a spider on it, the spider net was so big that probably they didnt clean the lamp for the last few weeks. Our bedroom door’s lock was not working so we werent able to lock our door when we were sleeping. They gave us two room keycards, one was not working it was probably not that room’s key. Overall, they apparently never check the rooms properly before another guest arrives, but we paid 480€ for two nights and I believe we deserved a much better service! Also, our room was on the second floor and the elevator was broken so when we were leaving we had to carry our luggages from the stairs as two girls! I hate it if anyone enters my room when I’m away (housekeeping or anyone!) so I put a DND sign on it when leaving for the beach and when I came back I saw that they took away the sign and entered our room! They didnt clean anything they only change the places of our stuff! So overall, I’m not sure if I’d stay here again if they dont change the way they prepare the rooms.

Beautiful hotel in Alexandropolis. Clean, on the beach, great food, excellent service, staff very kind and helpful. Our room was spacious, bringt and very clean. Bathroom also spacious, clean, towels changed every day, room cleaned daily. Food is very tasty and various, loved the pancakes made in front of us. Beach is good, it's hotel's beach so umbrellas and sunbeds are free. There are beaches in area if you want change, but hotel beach and pools (also clean and perfect) are quite enough. We are coming next year.

Room was very good in general, but the pillows are too hard for me. The restaurant is very nice, lobby is very friendly. Outdoor swimming pool area is also nice. We didn't like: - the fitness area from inside, which is right "above" the indoor swimming pool... it is not possible to have relaxing moments in the pool, because you have to see/hear/look to all muscular guys/girls working out noisily - the permanent noise coming from the tiles which with the alleys are paved, and all the room-service and luggage trolleys are making a terrible noise all the time....it is impossible to sleep with window open but you also hear them with the windows closed... It should be banned between 23.00 & 10.00 am !!! I have a noisy video but it cannot be upload!!! You should change all the wheels from luggage & room-service trolleys, with soft tyres, tubeless and to ban all this traffic from 23.00 to 10.00!!!!

We were impressed by the quality of services. The food was of very good quality and the organization of the dinner on Saturday night and the lunch on Easter Sunday were very well organized. All personel were very polite, willing to help and efficient. A special note should be done for the Head Waiter of Astir who tried really hard for the success. Music was very good but we would prefer it to be less loud. The cleaning ladies were also very efficient. The only negative point was the dinner of 17/4 at Egnatia which in fact were the left-overs of the previous days.

We had a lovely stay at Grecotel Astir with our 2 daughters. The room was very clean and spacious (the hotel upgarded us from Junior suit to executive suit), with very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was also very good. Thank you

All the 3 nights there were a constant unpleasant noice from watter leackeage or ventilator on the top which did not gave us a chance to sllep - especially during the nights that noice (which we reported to the reception and technitians) (room 914) did not disapeare.
