Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Appleton

I tried to cancel this reservation. They wouldn't allow me to because the cut-off was December 31 for a January 7th reservation. I have never come across this before. It is usually a day before the reservation date to be able to cancel. My mistake, but I will not recommend this place because of this. I wasn't even allowed to change the reservation. I will never reserve with them again.

Rented a Suite for the evening for my wife and I. We just wanted a night to ourselves. Room was in terrible shape! We had to call the front desk to ask for new bedding. The comforter had holes in it, and was stained. The sheets and pillows had very bad stains on them. They didn't have any housekeeping at the time. So we had to make our own bed. We never received a comforter either. Walls and table had something splattered all over them. Counter tops where chipped. Many of the cabinets were broken. Cabinet doors were loose and falling off. Ceiling had previous damage to it. All they did was patch it. Never sanded it, and never painted it. Couch cushions weren't put back properly by housekeeping. Carpeting was stained all over the place. I tried talking to staff at the front desk in the morning about it. She was very short with her words, rude, and showed no emotion to show she cared. I asked to speak with management. She told me that management was not there. They would have to call me back. Never called me back. I was told by the front desk staff that they couldn't do anything for me anyway because I booked through *******. So it's really not their problem anyway. I definitely will not stay at this Microtel or any other Microtel location again!

The lady at the front desk could have been nicer. The parking lot was also a little icy with poor cleanup after a snow storm.

Everything was fantastic from the customer service to the complementary breakfast in the morning

Reasonable accommodations in a good location ,right by a nice shopping mall and area, for a good room rate.

Very convenient to shopping and dining. When we got there the elevator was dirty and smelled atrocious. There were no towels in our room and half filled shampoo and lotion bottles. No soap for shower. The room did not appear fresh .... like it was empty for some time.

I stayed in a suite this time and loved the extra room. Breakfast was very adequate with lots of options.. It was a quiet Wednesday night.

Employee seemed not all there when he called my room three times before opening door with my registered guest and informed me we would have to leave as he has spilled his coffee twice and believed him to be an undesirable. When we returned to dinner the locks were changed and my baggage was found in the lost and found. Terrible.

Walls were paper thin. Could hear everything in the hallway. Ice machine extremely loud. Initial room we were supposed to have smelled like smoke.
