What an Oasis! Attention to detail is impressive! Amazing location, heavenly blue skies! First Class reception! First Class service! Very professional staff takes care of guest’s requests in an extra ordinary, friendly way! Plenty of smiles around. The incredible Breakfast Buffet was the perfect start to our wonderful day! Giardino Ascona experience was one of a kind! Ultimate hospitality, and beautiful setting that makes you feel very relaxed. Gorgeous outdoor pool surrounded by lush gardens, very spacious room with beautiful views. The food is amazing, and the fine dining experience at Ecco is a memory we will cherish! Hotel is just 5 minutes drive from Ascona and you actually can borrow a bike from hotel and get there in 10 minutes or so! Thank you again for having us, it was an experience to remember!

We stayed for 3 nights in this amazing place with a beautiful garden and an exceptional crew. The reception is staffed by Swiss professionals and you feel right at home. The rooms have all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. Beds are comfortable and room have air conditioning. The garden with a koi pool and a extra clean swimming pool is outrageous beautiful. The Hydrangeas are in full bloom and every detail in top shape. Restaurants are very good and the service is professional. This is the Swiss style. Never intrusive or servile. A shuttle service can bring you in town and of course you can walk through pleasant neighborhoods too Golf is just around the corner and on the lake you can do a cruise to an island with a botanical garden. The Ticino is well organized with good roads and long tunnels through the mountains. Nearly everything can be reached by train If you are anyway in Switzerland do not miss its beautiful towns like Bern and Lucerne or Zürich. So much to see in this beautiful country. I have seen many old towns in Europe but the Swiss know how to keep them in shape and spotless clean. The fast food Joints do not stick out and the little shops just invite to stroll through town. Not to forget the terrific bakeries and cheese shops. Switzerland has also some very good wines , which they mostly drink themselves. So hop on the train and see gods country.

We have spent 3 nights with our kids in this wonderful Hotel. The service, the Restaurants, the pool & garden are just amazing! The rooms are beautiful the breakfast fantastic and the Restaurant Ecco an unforgettable experience! Special thanks go to Wolfram & Tibor who have made our vacation so special! This property is immaculate. The grounds and pool area are beautiful and the rooms are very well appointed. The service is also exceptional from all the staff. Each staff member was proactive in checking in on our stay and answered our plethora of questions as this was our first time in Locarno. The only downside of our stay was the restaurant, Hide & Seek. The meal we had was very poor, which was especially frustrating given how pricey it is. Fortunately, there are tons of other great options in Ascona / Locarno, which we were able to go to and have great meals, so I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your meals.

BEWARE. The finance person may try to overcharge you. Our trip was was ruined by the finance individual who overcharged my family by nearly 1,000 CHF. I thought it was a genuine error & misunderstanding, but Giardino has refused to correct their mistake. They communicated at checkout that they would fix it. It has been three months and they have not fixed it. Now they give me a run around and say it was a valid charge. Marriott has not been helpful either as they said the hotel has to fix it. The hotel tells me they are unable to now. Someone can issue the refund, but both companies are saying they can't. It's not honest. Neither the hotel nor Marriott is honoring the price I had in my reservation confirmation. It is absolutely horrible customer service to put the customer in the middle of corporate inefficiencies and communication break downs. They accept loyatly points on Marriott.com and the terms & conditions list this hotel, but they don't care and don't honor it even though it was clearly booked that way. I should state I am a Gold level member with Marriott with loyalty of over 15 years. If they treat a loyal customer this way, I would assume it would be worse for anyone else. Do not attempt to use your loyalty points here. They will pretend to accept them until checkout when you realize they have charged your credit card in full. I'm going to have to reach out to executives at Marriott to try to get our money back. I suggest saving yourself the headache and time suck of dealing with this unethical individual and staying somewhere else.

Very good place

We were looking forward to get back to the Giardino where we stayed very often some years back under the unforgettable late Hans Leu. Our experience was mixed. We liked: +Very friendly staff, right from the booking to arrival to departure +Fantastic breakfast buffet with a very large choice +excellent COVID security measures in place with staff being tested twice a week, sterilizer dispenser everywhere and mask wearing followed by the guests +DInner at ECCO was spectacular, both in the sequence of fantastic dishes as well as for the impeccable service +Fitness room with large choice of top Technogym equipment + Great (small) SPA, wiht excellent treatment -Room design with a bathtub in the bedroom neither nice nor functional -interior design more adequate for a city hotel , lacking the great mediterrean flair in Leu's days -food (and service) in the Hide&Seek main restaurant nothing to write home about
