Let's start with the good! Check in was very easy, and every staff member we interacted with was super friendly. The bed was very comfy, and the laundry machines worked well. Being right next to a Dunkin and a truck stop with a pizzeria was super convenient. Try the pizza place btw, they were great!
Now for the not-so-good: when we walked into our room, it looked clean, but it smelled like a gym locker. Not overwhelming so, but enough to make a pretty bad first impression. When it came time to wash up, we found the shower/tub to be incredibly dingy. Probably "clean," but the tiles, grout, and tub were all very stained. Good water pressure, though! We also discovered one of the two sinks didn't drain.
Now, for the killer: when we opened the fridge, a cockroach ran out. Friendly service is great, but there's not a person in the world who's friendly enough to make me feel good about paying $160 to sleep in a room with cockroaches.
We told an employee what we saw, and they said "that's strange, I've never heard of cockroaches in that part of the hotel." I'm sorry, but "that part?" That obviously implies they know they have roaches in the hotel, right?? What, did they just expect them to stay put? Anyway, I'm leaving this review anonymously because I don't want the manager to look up my name and try to figure out and punish the person I spoke with. It's obviously not their fault, and I don't want them to get in trouble for being candid.
So, there you have it! Good and bad.
