Uluwatu
My boy and I rented this room last week with Jetstar hotels, once we arrived, we immediately realized that the building did not reflect the photos or rather not all and not trustfully. The building was old and there was a tent in the door of the bathroom, and the last room was all accumulated in our bathroom waste, which was a terrible smell. The boy at the reception tried to clean it gently, but the smell was again the same. We asked for explanations, and the boy at the reception (I want to say very kind and available) tells me, ”It's not my fault because we haven't contracted with this hotel for at least four years.” We have therefore contacted the company that told us that, unfortunately, it could not give us any refund, which is absolutely absurd. Moreover, if you get out of here, the only way to travel is to have a motorbike or you can't move if you don't have local taxis that ask you for absurd figures for Bali, GOJEK and GRAB can't travel in this area so you'll be forced to pay A local taxi if you don't have the possibility to rent a motorbike. This is below the photos of the hotel at the time of booking and the photos of the tent and view from the terrace (common).

Clean and quiet around. Nothing around. You have to eat your own food. It seems to be a good place for those who like quiet

Staying at Mamo Hotel was not a bad experience. The room was clean and comfortable and it seemed pretty central from what I could tell. Its an easy walk down to the cliffs above the surf break. Even easier scooter ride if carrying a board. Scooters can be hired from the hotel, or they will organise other transport if you plan to go further afield. The pool is nice and the overall price of the room was very reasonable. There is a convenience store across the road which seemed to get popular in the evening, especially on the nights when other venues down the hill might be busy. The noise didn't become an issue. Altogether, it was an ok, reasonably priced place to stay.

Enjoyed our brief stay at the Three Monkeys and had an amazing time whilst there. We had a two room villa with an interconnecting door. Superb for families. Only about 6 villas and all located around the stunning pool. The room was clean and comfortable. Air con cold, and a good size fridge. The villas are located in a awesome location, plenty of restaurants nearby and only a 5min walk to Single Fin and the beach. Will definitely be back

This night was probably the worst stay I've ever had (maybe there will be worse ones to come). We booked a two bedroom villa with its own private pool and it was probably the best decision we ever made. On the advice of some hotel staff we booked online rather than directly with the hotel and for £40 a night we had a huge room that was cleaned daily with clean towels, bottled water and coffee. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were eager to help. For a small fee we were able to keep our room on our last day until our later departure time. The location here is very good, you can see the beautiful scenery when you have breakfast, overlooking the beautiful scenery below the lover's cliff. The entire site could be a little touched, but overall, I have no complaints. The site as a whole could use a little tweaking, but overall nothing to complain about.

More about Bali

Introduction to Bali

Bali, an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, and stunning beaches, is the country's most famous tourist destination. Filled with ancient temples, rich arts and crafts, and a vibrant nightlife, Bali offers a kaleidoscopic blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

Tips for Travelling to Bali

Bali's main international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport, located near the capital city, Denpasar. Travelers can explore Bali through taxis, local buses, bicycles, motorbikes, or even hired cars.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but having some cash on hand for local markets and smaller venues is recommended. Indonesian is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

As for visas, many nationalities can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, but it's best to check before your journey.

Popular Attractions in Bali

Bali offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Explore the ancient temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, or immerse yourself in the artistic heritage of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for unique experiences.

Bali's beaches are equally enticing, with Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach offering vibrant beach life. Surfing enthusiasts will love the waves at Uluwatu and Canggu.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Bali enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are during the dry season, from April to October. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Also, remember to dress modestly when visiting temples.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Bali

For luxury beachfront accommodation, consider the Legian Bali or the W Bali in Seminyak. In Ubud, the Hanging Gardens of Bali offers a unique luxury experience with its Instagram-famous infinity pool.

For budget travelers, the Puri Garden Hotel and Hostel in Ubud offers comfort and excellent service. The Dash Hotel Seminyak, with its eclectic and colorful design, is an Instagram-worthy stay.
