Jaguar creek is a hidden gem, we loved our stay. We stayed in their tropical breeze cabin, with AC, a lovely bed, and private deck to watch the stars. The grounds are gorgeous, the firepits are cozy, and we loved the deck overlooking the creek. Having the creek was a nice surprise! We loved rambling down the creek in inner tubes. Every meal was lovely - from coconut curry to refried beans and flatbread with squash. The sprinter van that picks you up from the airport and to/from activities was comfy, had A/C, and the best drivers (thanks, Kenny and Abraham!) additionally, the location can’t be beat. An hour from ATM, 5 minutes from St Herman’s, and 2 minutes from the Blue Hole cenote. Lastly and most importantly are the staff. From Carlos who helped me fix my bungled reservation to a tourist trap (instead of the local St Herman’s park!) to the warm and gracious restaurant staff who helped my husband plan a magical birthday dinner. Jaguar creek is truly wonderful - every part of our stay was above expectations. Some reviewers point out needing bug spray (duh), the lack of WiFi (you’re in the jungle…there’s very strong WiFi near the main building) and variety in meals (this is an eco lodge). If you’re seeking an adventurous, well-appointed, and quiet lodge, JC is your spot. I am SO glad we chose this over other sports we were initially considering.

Thank you Jaguar Creek for such a wonderful vacation! I’ve heard of this place for years and was so happy to finally visit. The team was so on top of all of the details during our stay. They arranged all of the transfers, arranged our tours to the ATM caves and Tikal, and helped us on a free day. The food was great, Darrel made great cocktails, and I even was able to walk the prayer labyrinth. Ari and Carlos were so kind. I really enjoyed my stay and love this is a social enterprise where proceeds fund local education programs. Thank you Jaguar Creek Team!

I traveled with a group of friends and my fiancée and this was the best place we stayed at during our 6 days in Belize! Each villa was very clean, comfortable and I appreciated the back patio in our villa that I was able to enjoy my morning coffee on each morning surrounded by the awe & beauty of the jungle. I felt immensely at peace here! The landscaping is beautiful and our meals were delicious. Not to mention, every staff member was attentive and friendly - they even gave us parting gifts of jewelry and snacks. If I ever come back to Belize, this will definitely be a place I would stay again!

Interesting place to stay but not much to do on the property itself. The "River" is not really tubable because there was not enough water in the dry season. The biggest issue I had with this place is that you are secluded so much that eating anywhere besides the restaurant at the resort is difficult. The food is very average and you can not make any choices, it is a prefix menu. Also it is wildly expensive for what it is. The cost of these places is high considering what you get. No air conditioning, no pool, poor food, they provide bikes but they are poorly maintained. Also unless you leave the property to go on excursions there is nothing to do. If you want to relax in the jungle this might be a good spot for you. If you have kids that need to be entertained look elsewhere.

This is a beautiful property with kind, friendly staff who will always help you to the best of their ability. The flowers and plants, as well as the creek, are beautifully maintained, while maintaining a sense of nature. Bed was gorgeous and comfortable, clean and well-appointed room. I would definitely return!

The entire staff is welcoming, friendly, and over the top helpful. The resort arranged for our pickup in Belize City (and return to the water taxi terminal), as well as two excursions (Xunantunich and cave tubing). The grounds of the resort are beautiful and well kept up. We enjoyed the trails and tubing in the creek. The cabanas have everything you need and then some (the hammock in the room was a favorite). They have no windows, only screens, so you do hear everything around you. Breakfast and dinner are a set menu which they serve within moments of you sitting down. Initially I was concerned (picky eaters), but every meal was fabulous and a generous serving for the cost. Lunch is also available but were given several options to choose from (all amazing too). There are self-service coolers stocked with beverages (alcohol included) that operate on an honor system and a bar opens at 4pm with some great cocktail options! We enjoyed sitting by the creek and the fire pit to relax as a family. Highly, highly recommend JC and we are hoping we have the opportunity to return.

My sister and I stayed in Tropical Breeze Cabana for two nights and loved being right in the jungle. Although we did not use it much, this unit also has A/C for really hot days. There was filtered water and a coffee/tea station in the room which we also loved. The onsite restaurant and bar had great service and they were able to modify daily option for vegetarians. Coffee/tea also available in the restaurant starting at 6 am and cold drinks from coolers available anytime (honor system). The grounds are fun to explore with a hiking trail, fire pits, decks near the river, large chess game and more. Great spot for bird lovers, we saw many different species on the grounds also heard howler monkeys and even saw an armadillo! Bug spray was necessary in this area, purchase available in lobby gift shop. Wifi was good in lobby area (which had a large conference/reading room) and restaurant. We booked airport transfer, the cave tubing and ziplining experience at Nohoch Che'en, and transfer to San Ignacio through the hotel and all were seamless. Special shout out to Carlos, Abraham, Darryl and Leann for making our stay extra special.

This was the beginning of a monthlong stay in Belize. The entire staff was excellent, friendly and informative. Our accommodations were comfortable and beautifully appointed. Neko was an excellent Birding guide and Darryl at the bar was great.
