This classic hotel has the best location for sure. Also they deliver a nice experience on the weekends with music and sparkling wine in the lounge. Sparking cleanliness and great pool as well with fair preces at the poor bar. Breakfast is huge and overall good but many goodies are not fresh. However, nothing justifies so outdated hotel room in southern Brazil where any simpler chain is highly designed and modern. Especially paying about a two hundred US dollars a night.

Air conditioning was not working. There is a device connected to the windows.. An employee came, reported this and checked the windows. Instead of closing the windows he only closed the screen and the device continued not working all night. It was really bad because it was very hot at night.

Being an old hotel is not the issue with this stay. The big bad is the lack of maintenance both in common areas and in the room. Apart from the beautiful lobby, we saw filthy carpets in the restaurant. Room with damaged furniture, dirty curtains and the worst, bathroom with rusty metal and ceiling paint falling off.
