Hotel New Tsuruta is conveniently located a mere 10 minutes walk from
Beppu Station, close to Beppu Tower and the Beppu Ginza shopping arcade. You will appreciate the morning sunrise illuminating Beppu Bay every morning.

About 12 minutes walk from Beppu station. You can see signs of ages especially the lobby setting, still it’s a clean hotel. The room itself was spacious and it was renovated not long ago. The onsen is not big but it’s never crowd during my evening and morning visits. Breakfast is reasonably good with plenty of local dishes. Well worth the money.

The hot spring is on the sixth floor. It is very comfortable to sit outside and soak in the hot spring while looking at Beppu Bay. The room equipment was a bit old, which compromised the overall stay experience. The breakfast options are rich and taste good.

The hotel is in a good location, facing the sea.
Convenient place. The bus stop and station are very close, 10 minutes away, and there are many restaurants, convenience stores and other shops nearby. The hot spring on the 6th floor overlooks the sea, and the spring water is warm and comfortable.

This is the impression of someone who used it on a family trip. In short, it's an old hotel. The exterior, interior, and facilities are filled with the atmosphere of the Showa era, and to put it simply, it's relaxing. The facilities in the room are at a level where there are not enough outlets.
The price range wasn't particularly cheap, so from that point of view, it was unsatisfactory. I used the morning buffet, but the number of items was average. The taste was delicious, so I recommend it. The bathroom is also normal. However, 90% of the guests were from overseas, and I was sometimes offended by the bad manners due to cultural differences. We recommend changing the opening hours of restaurants and baths depending on the usage status of overseas guests.
