Clean and safe hotel, spacious room with good spread of breakfast. Walking distance to Etnea (shopping belt), with several restaurants in vicinity. Enjoyed our stay there. Appreciate the staff for helping to arrange a room for us where we do not have to change room as we join our tour group that started with a night stay at this hotel.

The hotel was about 15 to 20 mins walk from the center but it is located in a nice area with shopping and restaurants around within a few blocks.
Service was good and breakfast was nice quality too.

Support for early morning departures.The breakfast was very fulfilling in Italy, which is simple.Recommended because the restaurant area is within walking distance.The room with the bathtub was relaxing.

The only NH in Italy that displeased me, while this chain is very good.
Tired building, home without more, I was badly served because I did not speak Italian, because any Italian who came to ask for something was served immediately. I didn't like it at all.
The room had a dark and dirty decor, very tired. No service offered but in addition you had to pay 3€ for a small bottle of water when it is generally offered free of charge. Noisy as the room overlooked the car traffic street. It was too hot at 26 degrees and the thermostat no longer worked.
In short, another rotten room that is passed on to the pigeon tourist from abroad.
The breakfast was good but not generous, nothing more compared to other NHs, in addition the table service is noisy, tidying up by throwing fork and plate suddenly making unbearable noises, it starts the day badly.
The hotel industry in Catania is the worst in all of Sicily, you really have to think about modernizing, changing the staff whose welcome dates from another era.

My most recent stay at the NH Catania Centro was exceptional. Mr. Paola went beyond what I would call exceptional service. I unfortunately left my Apple Airpods in my room after check out. And I was already at the airport for my flight. In my distress I called the front desk to see if there was anything that could be done. Thankfully Mr. Paola answered the phone. He assured me that he could help. Once he got off work, he offered to bring the airpods to a friend of mine at a hotel over 30 mins away. I cannot describe how much this meant. I was shocked by how kind and selfless this was. I fully expected to have to replace my very expensive airpods. I am so thankful to Mr. Paola for his exceptional customer service. THANK YOU MR. PAOLO for helping make my stay at the NH Cantania Centro exceptional. I cannot wait to return. And when I do Mr. Paola, beers are on me. Cheers.

The NH Catania hotel in Catania was an efficient and well run hotel. Unfortunately we were there during renovations on one of the floors which was a minor noisy problem. Otherwise it is a nice urban hotel without any pretensions within walking distance of the historic center. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well and we particularly liked the bar tender, Daniel. It also has a spacious, sunny breakfast room which had a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.
