Not an upscale place if you are looking for that. Told at evening check in that breakfast was till 1000. Got there at 9:25 and everything being put up. Asked and told breakfast was over at 9:30. No offer to work around or to leave some things out. Just “sorry”. Been on a road trip for over a week and this was the poorest breakfast and service.

Decent room, appreciated the family suite. Beds were nice. Stopped in to the lobby, she gave us a cheaper price than I could find online and got checked right in. Would stay again if we ever needed to.

Breakfast included waffles which was a plus, in my opinion. Rooms were clean but sheets were worn and mattress could be upgraded. Good location, exterior was clean, and pleasant architecture design.

Both the outside and inside of this place was clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly. The room was clean and spacious. Both the beds and pillows were comfy and very quiet. I would recommend this place when visiting Cedar City.

This hotel, formerly known as El Rey, is one of the most venerable in Cedar City. It does show its age a bit (for example, the bathrooms are very compact and the showers are made for shorter people), but the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is perfect if you’re going to the Utah Shakespeare Festival (as I suspect most summer visitors to Cedar City are). It’s also a short walk to many popular eating establishments.

I am totally satisfied with the accommodations at this hotel. The room was clean the atmosphere was fine. The breakfast could’ve been a little bit better, and the parking leaves a little bit to be desired. Other than that great place.

The Baymont is only 2 blocks for the Festival theatres and the University campus. There are two coffee shops within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and I slept very soundly. The biggest problem was the elevator wasn't working. Lucky for us we are still in pretty good shape and were able to navigate the stairs. (I'm 68 and my husband is 71)

Although the motel room was clean, two things make me not want to come back here. First, there are only half-sized pillows for the bed. Not nearly large enough for an adult. When I called the desk to ask for standard size pillows, I was told they don't have any. Second, the toilet is also the smallest I've ever seen, and it is in a cramped space with the door directly in front of it. I'm 5' 11", 220 pounds, and I could barely use it. Anyone larger than me would have great deal of difficulty using it.

We originally stayed for a night during a road trip, but due to unexpected events, we had to spend a second night. The staff was very helpful and arranged that for us. The rooms are on the small side and the building is old, but we would have no problem staying at this hotel if we were passing through again.
