Nice hotel in a great location. Easy access to touristy areas. Would recommend.
If you are looking for a place for just sleeping and putting your bags then I highly recommend the hotel.

Rather grubby.
Our room had a sofa bed and was to dirty to sit on as a sofa.
Bedroom was dusty and big cobwebs in various places around the hotel.

My son got married at the Racecourse so this was an ideal location. Room was very clean, breakfast was very good and staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Had an AMAZING time at this hotel, came in and out late, around 1am and the staff were still there to open the gates, had a beautiful breakfast, all you can eat buffet style. The room was spacious, comfortable bed, would highly recommend.

The vicinity of the racecourse hotel is particularly quiet, and free parking for self-driving tours is absolutely great value. It takes only 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the center, where you can check in, walk on the street, and take pictures. The chester outlet is enough for a day trip, and there is a playground next to it for children to discharge.

The hotel is outside the center of Chester but very handy, just a few minutes' walk away. The facilities are very good, although it does not have a closet, and the elevator broke down.
Very complete breakfast, very friendly people.
I would definitely go back if I'm ever back in Chester.

The location is very remote.
It was difficult to carry my suitcase from the station, so I recommend uber.
