We arrived on our bikes to a cold beer - it was a hot one for riding at a temp of +34 in late afternoon. We checked in to the Lazy Bear, parked our bikes, unpacked and hit the outdoor pool! The pool is a plus and we also enjoyed the barbecue for grilling supper that evening. The room we had was rustic and outdated but clean. The lady who checked us in and out the next day was very accomodating and was always available if we had questions or needed someting. We would definitely stay again!!

We had such a wonderful stay at the lazy bear lodge! The managers Jim and Chrystal are so amazing! They made our evening extra special! We got to enjoy a live band, excellent food, relaxing pool and clean rooms! I highly recommend this lodge the next time your in Cranbrook! We were also delighted with how well they treat motorcyclists! Highly recommend

Very good motel with all the necessary amenities and the staff especially were super friendly and ready to help with all your needs. The pool is great if you have families with kids to soak in the summer time. All in all it was a great location, close to all the main places on the Cranbrook *****. Highly recommended !

The staff was friendly. However, it seems there are many local individuals calling the motel home. We were woken in the middle of the night by profanity and partying. This went on for at least an hour. The rooms have been updated, but renovated is a huge stretch. The room smelled like smoke and there were missing handles and lights. Unfortunate experience, especially since we were trying to support local.

On arrival before taking the room, I asked if there were any rooms available that were non pet rooms as I have allergies. The fellow at the desk told me that it was a non pet room. Within an hour of going to bed, it was obvious that there had been a dog in the room; major allergy symptoms. Unfortunately I didn’t get very much sleep. The room was dated but very clean. There were people sitting directly outside of their rooms smoking. I would not stay here again. I only wish that the fellow at the desk would have been honest with me.

It was a great hotel right on the main *****. I really wanted to stay here has the pool looked amazing, and I wasn't disappointed. It was great to relax and lay by the pool after a day of motorcycle driving. The BBQ area and outdoor sitting were great. The only negative I could think of is that the beds were a little hard, but both my wife and myself didn't mind. It's excellent value when in Cranbrook.

Word can’t express the awesome experience we had the last week at the Lazy Bear Lodge. From the express early checkin to the rooms, balcony, pool, staff and owners. Jim & Chrystal and their family can’t accommodate you enough in this family run motel. If you’re looking for a clean room and very reasonable rates- then look no further. We consider this Cranbrooks Hidden Oasis for their courtyard heated pool. Can’t wait for the next stay.

We’ve stayed here in the past, it was excellent, however this time we were a little sketched out with some things going on. There appeared to be full time residents, they were renovating, so maybe they were staying while working. A fight broke out around 11:00 pm, very loud. The front desk was excellent, very kind and helpful.
