Check-in was simple, although they don't speak English....the hotel made contact with me on wechat before we arrived and were very helpful. Hotel arranged a driver for our second day and driver was very good. Didn't try breakfast at hotel as it was basic and instead got food delivery...no problem. Hotel were kind enough to let us do our laundry for free and gave us clothes racks to dry our clothes, which was good. Rooms were comfortable, although bed is on the floor...I guess this is a local thing? Heating was good also...this was needed at night as it got cold. Unfortunately no tea or coffee in the rooms, although water was provided. My only complaint would be that water was never hot or even warm from the shower in both rooms everyday. Tried morning and evening and no luck. Nothing worse than a cold shower on a cold morning! The hotel should fix this problem as this shouldn't happen!

Lovely hotel in an incredible location. Modern rooms, which were clean and well decorated. I am unsure on the amenities, as I didn't really see any. This is almost certainly due to the language barrier where my Chinese is non existent and the receptionists English was basic. Only real down marks are that upon checking in they didn't have somebody there to process my passport. Nor when I came back from dinner, so I was disturbed at 23.30 to give passport details. There was also noone there to checkout at 7.30am so I just left my keycard and hoped.

Sitting in the courtyard, facing the Erhai Lake, there are travelers who get up early for morning jogs, tourists who pass by in a hurry to take photos, and villagers who dance the Torch Festival dance at night~ Inside the fence is the peaceful daily life of traditional Dali people. Outside the fence is the hustle and bustle of passing travelers. Sitting in the yard, I don’t know what I am thinking about, and I don’t need to think about anything. The landlady is very enthusiastic and responds to all requests. She will send roses and welcome fruits when you check in. There is a cat and a dog in the yard. The landlady said that when she is busy, she is happy to run a B&B, and when she is free, she enjoys a leisurely vacation~ There are many B&Bs in Dali. I am lucky to have chosen this one. I had booked the Inn after reading the many good reviews of travelers. It did not disappoint, far from it in fact as the service provided was top-notch. I had not planned any itinerary or sourced for any tours and instead asked the staffs for any recommended tour packages. They then connected me to a driver who was brought us around to the places that we want to go while advising us on any other attractions we might be interested in. We extended the tour to a 2nd day as we were pleased with his service. The Inn had also helped us book a car to the train station as we do not have a china mobile number. One of the staff, knowing that we need to leave early, went out of his way to purchase some bread and yogurt so that we can have it on the train as breakfast! The breakfast which they provide is delicious and healthy. Both my mom and I got hooked onto the rose flavoured red bean steam bun that they served and even went to search online where we can purchase it to bring it back to Singapore! I am recommending this Inn to all who want to stay in a slow paced environment while experiencing the comfort and service of a high range hotel.
