The Godfrey Detroit, Curio Collection by Hilton

The staff was fantastic the minute we walked in the door. The room was perfect for our stay - cozy feel with all the amenities we needed. Valet service was prompt. The front desk staff had great suggestions for food and drinks. All around great hotel! I would certainly stay here again.

We dressed for dinner and drinks in the rooftop bar. We got off the elevator to read a sign that stated CLOSED-PRIVATE PARTY. We told them we were hotel guests but they said to cone back in about half hour, the party should be wrapping up. We went to the first floor lounge for about an hour then headed back up only to be told by more employees that we couldn’t go up there. We are setting up someone stated. We went anyway thankfully because the roof was fully open. My next issue was the valet parking the next early evening. A large party was coming in so we couldn’t order our car. We were told to just come to the lobby. We stood there while car after car pulled up in this large party and was parked. It wasn’t until I asked for my keys to get my own car that someone went to get it. Moral of the story. Large parties or groups come before regular guests.

Beautiful hotel within great walking distance of so many fabulous restaurants in Corktown. Rooftop bar was a great experience as well.

Such a beautiful hotel with amazing service. I will definitely stay here again. Any points of interest in the city are within 10 minutes.

My fiancé and I travel ALL the time! We travel almost every other week. This hotel was hands down THE BEST place we have stayed. The service was quick and effortless. Every single staff member we spoke to was so pleasant. The restaurant staff were all extremely happy and so very nice. After an unfortunate event with a canceled Uber, we had to walk late at night back to the hotel. Once we arrived we were so cold we just wanted something warm from the restaurant. The restaurant had just closed down but the waitress was kind enough to help us with hot tea and honey. She was amazing The hotel was gorgeous, the room was amazing and extremely clean. We will definitely stay here every time we go to Detroit and we will look to stay in more Hilton hotels thanks to this visit.
