Coastal Inn Digby

We had room 6 which was a smoking room. I understand that smoking rooms will have a smoke smell of course but I think that they should air the room out before guests arrive. Hotel staff were friendly. Disappointed that the restaurant was not open Saturday past 7 and not at all on Sunday. Our room the shower was broken, the hair dryer holder was broken as well as the sink dropped the whole night. The only other thing I would suggest is moving the reading lights from above the bed to either side. I was also not impressed that the cleaning lady entered our room even though we did not put the sign to clean on the door. Then only took 1 garbage bag, never made beds, changed out towels etc.

We stayed only for 1 night. The room was of a good size with coffeemaker, fridge and microwave. The sheets were clean as well as the bathroom. The lady at the reception was welcoming and helpful. Couldn't say the same thing for the one-and-only staff at the adjoining restaurant when we thought we would have our dinner there. The breakfast was average - continental but no fruits. The only thing I would suggest to the hotel management is to remove or move the reading lamps over the headboard because they were quite low that I had hit my my head on it.

Welcoming staff, complimentary breakfast included which is always a bonus - they informed us what type of breakfast was available which is nice to be informed; it's a hop skip and jump away from a Tim Horton's if you want a hot breakfast. It's a motel style accommodation but it was very nice, clean and tidy. Usual amenities provided in the room and bathroom which is always appreciated. We were only staying one night but it is in a good location, and would stay here again.

Very welcoming environment even when we arrive at almost 9pm. My father in law stayed in a room next to us. Nice solid bed. Quiet area even though it was next to the main road. Close to the Digby ferry. Great restaurants near by. Lovely continental breakfast with lots to choose from. Would stay there again.

check in , lady on the desk September 3 around 5-530 pm was exceptional , wow was she friendly, helpful , i working in the hospitality industry for 20 years, and i just love it when i find someone like this, nothing could go wrong with a check in experience like that. my wife raved about how friendly she was. rooms were clean, shower was nice , bath room door needed to be shave down to close all the way but very minor to us. .
