Hampton Inn Dubuque

Breakfast was very good! Room was as clean! Location good, right near both ski areas we wanted to attend!

The bathroom needed some attending too. The floor definitely needed swept. There was hair in the shower and on the drain. The conditioner was out in the shower. The rest of the hotel room was clean.

The hotel was located right in the middle of a shopping area, not a whole lot of parking. It's convenient for walking to get things nearby though. There were several restaurants, shops, and a Target nearby. The interior appears to have been newly redone. The room was nice, with a comfortable bed and large new TV with several options for streaming as well as live TV. The bathroom had soap/shampoo/conditioner in bottles attached to the wall, instead of individual disposable bottles. We didn't eat breakfast here, so can't comment on that.

The rooms were clean, and in general we were very comfortable, but there were some problems When we got there, the receptionist was excellent but when we got to the second floor, they were piles of towels everywhere you had to walk around. I’ve never seen anything like it. We were literally stepping over things to get into our room. It was depressing for as much as we payed for the room. Once we got in the room everything was as expected, super clean and updated. There was a lightbulb out which animal itself is not a big deal. When we called to get a replacement lightbulb the front desk person walked into our room as we were leaving. I was horrified. I think she knocked but the door turns immediately. I don’t know what she was thinking, but we made the call from the room. I think she felt bad and apologized. The shampoo is out in the tub, but that’s about it. No biggie. You clearly need a different way to do things because this was a Saturday evening, prime time. Also, you should know they were scratches along the nice clean wall up and down the hallway that lined up with that housekeeping cart. There clearly needs to be a different system in place and some guidance. Not what I expect from a Hilton for what we paid. But again I was impressed with how nice the room was how comfortable we were.

Stayed here before for location and all the good aspects of a hotel but this breakfast was undercooked and inedible.

This is our second time staying at this Hampton Inn in Dubuque, and we were not disappointed. Very nice, quiet hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the room is clean. Solid breakfast too!

Nice hotel - bed needs replaced - hump in the middle. Kleenex and conditioner were empty.

I have been staying at this hotel since it first opened and have stayed many times. What concerned me most was the cleanliness of the main areas such as the elevator, the steps, hallways, and piles of dirty linens left untouched in the hallways. The rooms themselves were clean but were only serviced every other day and I believe it was because of management issues and staff not able to keep up. Overall pleasant stay. I'll rebook in the future, but this was not the high Hampton Inn standards that I have known staying here and others throughout the country. I gave a low rating for environment because I would like to see electrical car chargers available. No other branded hotel in Dubuque, Iowa has one and would be most beneficial to guests and the Hampton Inn.

We were here for a 2 night stay. The hot breakfast and coffee bar were awesome to wake up to. I loved how clean the room looked. It was one of the reasons I picked this hotel, from their website pictures of the room. Exactly as pictured. Overall excellent experience
