I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the poor service offered by booking website. I have been booking hotel rooms through the booking website for many years. I recently(30.3.2023) booked 2 rooms per 2 nights at the Rich Royal Suites Eilat hotel through booking website and relied on booking as a website that publishes good and recommended places to stay. However, I found the service to be extremely poor. After I made the reservation for 2 rooms per 2 nights, I read some of the recent reviews about the hotel and my eyes darkened, in the reviews customers wrote that the rooms are dirty and dusty, there is a musty smell, the sheets are dirty, there is garbage under the bed, moisture from the ceiling, broken furniture, no hot water in the shower, no electricity , there is no remote control for the TV and the air conditioner, an air conditioner that does not work, there were hairs in the toilets, in addition, customers received wrong codes to open a safe with the key to enter the rooms and waited hours outside the hotel until they received the correct codes, there is no reception at the hotel and there is only a phone that is answered by representatives of the hotel in a disgusting and disrespectful manner. The hotel staff was unprofessional and unkind, and some of the facilities advertised on the booking website Advertised as deceiving the consumer, the hotel does not have breakfast, and they send the guests to another restaurant. A hotel with such reviews should not be advertised. The hotel has a lack of human relations. . Booking should take direct responsibility and not shirk it. Booking should waive cancellation fees for this hotel and not represent a sub hotel level. Given these circumstances, I have kindly asked Booking to waive the cancellation fee (223$) for my reservation for the 2 rooms, as the hotel does not offer the advertised service and the number of negative reviews is unimaginable. However, booking representative refused to do so, citing your company's cancellation policy and claiming that only the hotel has the decision to waive the cancellation fee and must wait up to 48 hours. The hotel responded almost immediately that it was not willing to waive the cancellation fee and charge one night for each of the 2 rooms. I find this unacceptable and that the booking company is not ready to take responsibility for the services advertised on its website. It is the reservation company's responsibility to ensure that the hotels advertised on their platform meet the standards, and in case they do not, the company must take responsibility by waiving/subsidizing the cancellation fees. I strongly urge you not to follow my mistake and order rooms in this hotel via booking or another platform very disappointed.
