I stopped here to pass the time between journeys and decided not to go elsewhere due to a very friendly and professional service from a gentleman named Gavin. The layout is spacious, cleanly with a slight vintage feel to the decor. I must echo, the friendly service was second to none and I would recommend this establishment to anyone local, visiting or passing by.

Even if he is my enemy, I will not let him stay in this hotel. This hotel really needs a modern makeover. Breakfast was terrible, only one choice. The hotel does not provide dinner at night because the restaurant turns into a Chinese restaurant at night. The staff only spoke English and I was not offered room service during the four days I stayed here. Everything was tattered, and a woman's dirty underwear was unexpectedly found on the cake icing in the back cupboard drawer. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. In the middle of winter in Brecon I had better living conditions in the army. I will never stay here again!
