Lovely villas, accommodating helpful staff, many options for children. La Casitas Village quieter, beautiful infinity pool and all main hotel restaurants and activities a 5 minute golf cart ride, always available. Beautiful beach on their island, accessible with boat reservations. Only disappointment, long waits at most of the restaurants and food not remarkable.

Las Casitas Village is a cluster of privately owned homes adjacent to the El Conquistador (EC). If you rent a casita through EC you have full access to the EC resort. Our 2-bedroom casita was lovely...full kitchen, patio overlooking the water, well maintained and well suited for our friend trip (or equally, families). The Village itself is quiet -- it has three pools including two beautiful infinity pools and one small restaurant opened limited hours. Getting to the EC is about a 15 walk...they offer golf cart rides - but we found it was faster to walk rather than wait for a pickup. Regarding the El Conquistador Resort itself...not specifically the casitas...we had fun but it's so big it's like walking around a cruise ship. We had to factor in a lot of travel time to get one one place to the other. One of the funiculars down to the marina (location of the water park and boat to their island) was broken creating long waits at certain times. Food was mediocre.

The 3-bedroom casita we stayed in (South side) was absolutely stunning. Open floor plan, amazing views of the ocean. The master bedroom was heavenly. Each bedroom had a bathroom attached. It was perfect for traveling with family. The friendly staff refreshed and cleaned the rooms daily. The infinite pools at the casita village were beautiful. We rented a golf cart which made our trips to the El Conquistador resort fun and convenient. We enjoyed the pools and restaurants at the resort; we went everyday. We highly recommend staying at the Las Casitas Village and will be coming back! If you’re looking for a family friendly resort in Puerto Rico, definitely consider staying in the casita village and you’ll have all the amenities at the resort too!

My wife and I toured El Conquistador when we were dating in 2009 and always said we would come back. We finally did, but this time married with two children (11 and 9). I’ve kept up with the property over the last 14 years and have seen multiple ownership changes, the hurricane of 2017, and Covid. My fear was that the resort we visited would be drastically different now. And it is. Only half of the resort rooms are open and they are in the middle of a massive renovation. But don’t let the negative reviews fool you, this resort is still majestic. The grounds are incredible, the people are super friendly, the service was spot on and the food was delicious. We were there Dec 16-20, and other than a local volleyball tournament they were hosting, the place was fairly quiet. I think that will change this week as they open another tower with 100 renovated rooms on Friday. We stayed at Las Casitas villas because of the kids and wanting a full kitchen with separate bedrooms. Las casitas is also in the midst of renovations. But our villa was nicely appointed and we had a balcony overlooking the ocean. We pre ordered groceries and our kitchen was stocked upon arrival. The butlers are amazing and very attentive. We considered renting a golf cart so we could get back and forth to the main resort, but it was unnecessary as the butlers took us everywhere we needed and when we needed it. Most we waited was 5 mins. The Infiniti pool at las casitas might be the most beautiful pool I have ever been in. I can’t overstate how amazing the ocean views are from the resort. They never got old. We spent the first day at the water park and it is a kids dream. Any kid 13 and under will be in heaven and my wife and I enjoyed as well. We spent the whole day there and didn’t get bored. The kids rode the slides repeatedly and had a ball. The second and third full days were spent at Palomino Island. What a treat. Fun boat ride over, beautiful beach with food and drink service. The food was really good, a pleasant surprise. The water is crystal clear, bring your snorkel goggles. And my wife and daughter found a “secret” beach full of seashells and conch shells that were amazing. We ate at the three restaurants and as previous reviews state, Bono is special. Amazing Italian cuisine. We loved eating next to the water at Ballyhoo as well. Brissas had some negative reviews, but I think I know why. It’s a traditional Puerto Rican cuisine. If you don’t like pork, rice, plantains, or fried food, you probably won’t like the restaurant. My wife had a steak and rice dish at Brissas that was the best thing I ate all week, fwiw. I spoke with employees there and confirmed that remodel is expected to be finished by 2025. There is a contract in place for Hyatt to take over the property then. If you want to experience it before it goes back to 750 rooms and corporate ownership, the window is closing. I’m thankful that I trusted my eyes and instincts vs the

We booked at the Las Casitas Village at El Conquistador Resort to take advantage of the closer proximity to the tours we were doing and we wanted somewhere with two bedroom rooms. I wasn't aware of all the sites they had available, casitas was the option we found at the time we booked. It is further away from most restaurants and the spa and water park. The resort is a massive place. We checked in at the main lobby, but we could have checked in at the Manor house. They sent a “butler” on a golf cart to show us to our room and then around the resort. Our casita had a long patio and it looked out at the ocean, unobstructed. We could dry swim gear on the patio each night. There was a full kitchen, a dining table, a living room space, two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The non-master room has sliding doors with slates so you could not completely black out the morning sun. Some pools were only for guests of the casitas, including one they said was open 24hrs. The grounds are beautiful. They have a sprawling golf course, a cable car down the cliff to a marina, a private island, and many pools. They have a water park with three slides, a lazy river and shallow pool. The slides were for those 48’’ and taller - they appear to be strict about this. On the first day we were there my son could go on all three slides and each measured him. The next day he was not allowed. They brought someone in special to measure after some protest, she put a stick on his head to their measuring line. They agreed the stick was on the line - and for that reason he was too short (because the stick was on-top of his head so the stick being on the line wasnt enough as it rested on his head …). It is an advertised rule of 48’’, it wasnt a surprise rule, but it was a surprise situation to have “just made it” one day and just missed it the next. Most of the pool areas in the water park, including where the slides land are well below 48’’. They would give you towels at the water park and on the private island so you didnt need to bring those along. There was beach towels in the casitas if you needed them for areas that didn't provide them. While the resort has many very pretty pools, if you want to go to the beach you need to take the ferry over to Palomino Island. The island and the ferry are part of the hotel. Because we were in the casitas, our butler just reserved some ferry times (outgoing) each day. We were able to make it out one day - the island has a restaurant and a well groomed sandy area as well as a un-groomed area. We saw hermit crabs and chickens. We didnt find the iguanas, but heard there was some. We didn’t snorkel, but there was an area to do that. They had lots of restaurants and bars, but overall all five of us found more we didnt like than we did like at the restaurants (we tried Brisas, Ballyhoo, Market @ La Marina, Oasis Bar and Grill, Palomino Bar and Grill). Maybe because of the size of the resort, it was hard to find staff that knew what

We were upgraded over to Las Casitas by the resort, what a delightful surprise! We were able to use all of the EC resort amenities, but had the bonus of 2 gorgeous infinity pools (one has a hot tub and fun changing lights at night the kids loved) and a full kitchen. We submitted a grocery order prior to arriving and the food was in our room, our Butler Edward was also kind enough to make another grocery run for an online order we placed for us. Helena and Laina in the front office were very helpful as well all week. After our first assigned room was too small for us, Laina did some checking around and they showed us two other options we could move to. We ended up on a top floor one bedroom with a huge balcony and beautiful views! They were able to make ferry reservations and dinner reservations without a problem for us, despite the resort being at capacity for Easter week. We never had a problem getting a golf cart ride over to EC, oftentimes we would just be out for a walk and butlers would stop to see if we wanted a ride. It was not a long walk via the pool deck anyhow, and the views and grounds are stunning so we never minded. They work hard to keep the grounds in immaculate shape! My husband and 10 year old son golfed all 6 days and enjoyed the course and driving range. It was very close to our casita so was nice my son could just walk over to hit balls whenever he wanted. I would definitely book here on my next visit!

Stayed at Las Casitas from a Friday to Sunday. The place is so beautiful, peaceful and inviting that you think you’ve been there a week. Nice pools, ocean views and lots of nearby places to eat. It’s a great escape from the ordinary and a way to explore the east coast.

This was our 5th trip to Las Casitas Village. Sadly, we won't be coming back. Our previous four stays were before the hurricane, when the property was managed by Hilton. Seemingly the only option for staying now is through VRBO. Access to the infinity pool (which always was a highlight of staying here) has been removed. They actually post guards to keep you out. They also post guards to keep you from walking over and eating/drinking/shopping at the main resort. Over the years, we've spent thousands of dollars at the El Conquistador. Zero this year. Without having experienced the property before, I probably would have rated this as good. But the lack of access really affects staying here. Check into the Wyndham Grand instead. We actually spent part of our last day there. It's beautiful and they embrace all visitors, even those staying at another resort. It's a shame, Las Casitas/El Con was once a great place to stay. Simply not the same.
