Das Terasma Suite Hotel in Funchal, Portugal, beeindruckt trotz seiner geringen Größe mit einer ausgezeichneten Lage. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, und der Rooftop-Pool bietet eine angenehme Entspannung. Das Frühstück besticht durch eine Vielzahl von Früchten, allerdings könnte der im Keller gelegene Frühstücksraum die Atmosphäre etwas trüben. Insgesamt erhält das Hotel eine solide Bewertung von 8 von 10 Punkten.

This hotel filled all our requirements. The accurate description enabled us to make a considered choice. The staff must make the management proud. As an introduction to Madeira, this could not have suited us better. The accommodation was slightly bigger than we had anticipated. Each day started with an exceptional buffet breakfast, with a short menu of cooked options. The location is on a sweet spot between mid-town and the resort Hotel area. About 200 metres to the bus stop into town, with a frequent service if a walk to the centre seemed too far. The competition between the many restaurants within walking distance ensured an excellent cuisine from which to choose.

We stayed in this very nice hotel for 4 nights in March. Lovely big rooms with kitchen area, table and chairs, sofa, TV and bed. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful with places to see and how to get around. The bus into the centre of Funchal was just around the corner with buses arriving every 10 mins or so. The hotel is situated in a very popular area with a good selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The only negative we had is I like to sleep with the window open and the balcony faced the street where there was a bit of traffic but that was our choice, other than that this was a good, welcoming hotel to enjoy this lovely town.

Nice modern studio apartment. We self catered so didn’t have the breakfast option. Cooked a couple of times in good kitchen. Cleaned every day. A little bit noisy to sit on balcony but rooftop pool area has plenty of loungers, chairs and a great view. Enjoyed our stay.

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast was plentiful with enough choice for everyone. They catered well for food intolerances too. The facilities at the hotel were perfect, lovely cool pool, hot jacuzzi and enough sun loungers for all. The location was ideal for walking into Funchal and for walking to the beautiful local restaurants. Ideal base for visiting Madeira. Best restaurants to eat at: Cris's restaurant (straight up the hill from suites) Solar de Ajuda (up the hill and left for 1/2 mile ish) Argentinian Steak house (up the hill and left, then second right along what looks like an industrial road) A restaurant beginning with R next to the Steakhouse (the hotel recommend this one and it was nice).

Lovely rooms and great rooftop heated pool. Yes it is noisy but it would be double the price if not. very close to Funchal by bus 01 or02 or 04 stops outside on return trip rooms 201,301 and401 are like apartments and have sun all day well worth the extra. Staff brilliant and very clean. Loved it

The Terrace Mar was a great choice for iur four night stay in Funchal. It is located in a inice area,with plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walking distance.
The airport bus stop is just around the corner, which was really convenient.
We booked a junior suite,which was huge,with everything we needed,a lovely bathroom ,Kitchenette and balcony with a sea view.
The roof top pool was small, but really nice and heated,along with the jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the Sauna was not available during our stay.
All the staff were wonderful,even providing a lovely cake for my birthday as a surprise!
We had an amazing break and would definitely stay again.

Clean and tidy hotel. Breakfast is amazin! Lot of fresh fruits, cook will make you omelet or more, if you like. Champin served in a class and really good coffee. Hotel has cozy pool area at the roof top, jacuzzi and sauna. Pool is small but clean and tidy. Sea view is great. Staff is most friendly! Best wishes to them ＜3 If you are not used to trafic noise, take another hotel. It did not bother to us, because we live at the city at home - and there were not as much noise as others said at Tripadvisor. So I recommend this place!
