Inland Hokkaido, where we rented a car from Sapporo and drove through heavy snow to see the Blue Lake and Whitebeard Falls.
I realized too late that the sun was setting early, so I quickly looked for a cabin in the mountains in the dark snow. However, I was told that there was only a shared accommodation for 12 people, so I searched again through heavy snow and found the accommodation, Furano La Terre.
Although I made a hasty reservation, I was able to relieve the pressure and stress of being tired and driving in heavy snow as it was my first time using a Japanese-style accommodation due to the friendly guidance of the staff from check-in.
When it came to hot springs, I vaguely thought of Noboribetsu and Jozankei, but using the public hot springs made this place feel even more like heaven. In particular, I enjoyed using the open-air hot spring outside the terrace door, which was an amazing experience I had never experienced in Korea.
When I returned to the bedroom after using the hot springs, they provided me with a bedding and allowed me to sleep comfortably while looking out at the snow field.
Note
1. There are not many restaurants around the accommodation, but the Nepalese restaurant right next door, recommended by the cute counter staff, was very delicious. (It was a store for Nepalese locals, but the person wearing red clothes and tying his hair at the time was very friendly.)
2. There was a large supermarket right next to the Nepalese restaurant, so if you are staying at this accommodation while sightseeing, you may want to stop by at night and buy something to eat for the night.
3. Please note that the first entry time to the morning hot spring is 10 am and the bedroom check-out time is 10 am.
