Nakadaya

I have stayed at many ryokan in the past, but this was the first time I had stayed at one that was so bad. One male staff member's response was really bad. I checked in with plans to stay for 4 nights, but from the first day I was treated with constant nagging, reluctant behavior, and an overbearing attitude. It got worse each day, and by the third night, it had escalated to the point where he was yelling at me in a tone that was almost threatening, and glaring at me. Our family and I stayed for several nights and the total cost was close to 200,000 yen, but I couldn't believe that they were treating guests who were paying that much. By the third night, I felt so bad that I gave up staying at Nakadaya. I changed my plans, canceled the remaining night, and moved to another accommodation. Although there was a cancellation fee, I decided it was better than staying here. It was my first experience making such a decision. It was a very disappointing experience, as my few vacations and the trip I had planned with all my money were ruined. Some of the other guests who stayed here seem to be satisfied, but depending on their mood, they may respond with a smile, or they may respond with an attitude similar to how they would respond to me. I think there is always the possibility of sudden changes. If you don't want to waste your precious time and money and have a bad experience, we strongly recommend that you consider other accommodations. I don't usually write reviews, but I decided to write one this time so that fewer people have the same unpleasant experience as I did.
