Marriott is an excellent hotel. I’ve been staying here for over 30 years since it was the radisson. The beach is completely eroded ( which I knew), however the excellent location was a fair tradeoff. If you’re looking to walk right into the beach, this is not the place (although it had 50 feet of beach width before the hurricanes changed all that). But the hotel is excellent and if you rent a car you’re only 5 minutes from a full beach.

The best part of this property was the staff (Claudio who went out of his way to ensure our stay exceeded our expectations, Joseph who helped when I needed help after the gift shop closed and Gregon is a hilarious and helpful doorman.

If you are looking for “peace and quiet,” this is Not the property! They are undergoing construction and furniture replacement that made it unbearable. The property needs a major facelift, and there were areas that were dirty and not maintained. When I asked about this at the reception, they didn’t try to accommodate or suggest an alternative. Stay away until these issues are resolved.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the recent experience I had at a hotel booked through *******, and I am reaching out in the hope that you can assist in resolving the issues we encountered.
I recently booked a hotel room for my stay in the Cayman Islands at the Marriott Resort through *******, and unfortunately, the experience fell far short of my expectations. I believe it is essential to bring the following concerns to your attention:
Early Pool Closure: Upon checking in at 4 pm, we were dismayed to find that the hotel's pool had closed at 2 pm. This information was not communicated during the booking process on *******'s website, nor was it mentioned at the time of check-in. This significantly impacted our plans for a relaxing evening and was a major disappointment.
Unpleasant Room Conditions: Our room, unfortunately, had a noticeable and unpleasant smell of mold. This not only affected our comfort but also raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and maintenance standards of the hotel.
Noise Disturbance: To add to our dissatisfaction, our room faced the service road, where there was ongoing construction with a table saw in operation for several hours. This disrupted our peace and quiet, further contributing to a less than enjoyable stay.

Overall this was a good hotel but for the price I would expect more. It advertises ‘beachfront’ but in reality it is just a small pool looking over the ocean so for someone who loves the ocean, this was a big disappointment. Also there was a lack of personal touch. I shared we were on our Babymoon in the booking and there was no recognition of this by the staff or in our booking. Meanwhile when we went out to dinners to other places they were very hospitable and went the extra mile. Overall, nothing really wowed me about this hotel, it was average.
