Shangri-La Guangzhou

Pazhou International Exhibition Center Area Guangzhou|1.16km from Hongzhuanchang
Great hotel with great amenities, great checkin; however our experience thereafter deteriorated. Once our checkin was completed, we were shown to our room, however our luggage didn’t find its way up. Calling the operator resulted in little to nothing. Calling the reception wasn’t much better either as we were told to wait at least 15-20 mins, despite our already 20 min wait time. Thus I ended going down to grab our luggage myself. The next surprise were the number of towels in the room. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids, however had only 2 full towels. Again calling the operator resulted in little to nothing, likely also to language difficulties. We have since asked 2 staff members for more towels, without any success. Our solution was to grab 2 additional towels from the pool. We only stayed one night, so no biggie. However later the night, our daughter was freezing due to her developing a fever. Thus we called the operator one more time to ask for another blanket; again due to language difficulties we went down to the reception and asked for one more blanket, just in case. We were told ‘no problem’ and housekeeping would bring one. It never came. Having spent the night with a sick kid, we went for breakfast at 9’ish. Though the hotel put up a sign to inform how likely busy the breakfast will be at certain times, we were still surprised to be encounter a waiting line ranging from the elevator to the breakfast room. I have never seen anything the like in similar properties, however one can see why the hotel enforced rather strict entry control measures. The line was handled swiftly, however caused a waiting time to be seated of around 10-15 mins. Breakfast was great, with heaps of choice of both western and Chinese dishes. However the slight chaos caused by guests notably affected staff, which made it sometimes feel more like a train-station cafe, rather than a 5* property breakfast. Upon leaving, we had however the probably best service-moment of our stay. A concierge called Alvin helped us to sort our Didi-issue to travel to Shenzhen and made us truly feel comfortable, despite dealing with an odd Didi driver and a sick kid. Alvin displayed everything you expect in a 5* property and some more! Thus we left exhausted (not the hotel’s fault), but with a smile.

Meihao Elegant Hotel (Guangzhou Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center)

Dongpu Economic Development Zone Guangzhou|1.88km from Hongzhuanchang
It was a great experience staying at Mehao Elegant Hotel this time, and I highly recommend staying at it. Before I checked in, the housekeeper CC called me to confirm my request for the room. He also added my WeChat and sent me the location, fearing that we were in the wrong place. I was traveling with my parents for two days, but the room only included two breakfasts. I asked to buy breakfast, and CC said that I could apply with the manager to give us two breakfasts, which saved us the trouble. The decoration of the hotel lobby is still very good. After all, it is a newly renovated hotel. The service staff are also very enthusiastic and will greet you warmly. When we checked in, the butler served us tea. It was really comfortable to be able to drink a cup of hot tea right away when we arrived at the hotel. The room had enough space and the hygiene was pretty good. The room was fully equipped and had mineral water. , drinks are all available. As soon as I entered the room, I saw the fruit plate that CC had prepared for me in the room in advance. It was really considerate and made the experience great! There are quite a lot of equipment in the room. In addition to two sets of bathrobes, there are also two sets of pajamas and a safe. The sink also has facial cleanser, skin care products, loofah, disposable compressed towels, etc., all available. I have stayed in many five-star hotels before, and this hotel is not inferior to any other hotels. Whether it is decoration, service, supporting facilities, location, or surrounding environment, it is top-notch. I forgot to mention that there is a service desk in the lobby with many items on it, such as Yunnan Baiyao, safflower oil, iodophor cotton swabs, band-aids, 999 cold medicine, etc. that can be used for injuries. Nail clippers and lighters are all normal. , but there are also very considerate dental floss, contact lens cases, contact lens solution, headbands, hairpins, hand cream, wet wipes, etc. Surprisingly, there are also raincoats, red envelopes, and baby warm patches. As the weather in Guangzhou has dropped sharply in the past few days, Nuanbaobao is really considerate. If you bring children, there are also cars to coax them. The front desk processing speed is also very fast, not like a newly opened hotel. All in all, it is highly recommended and deserves five stars! The hotel does not include meals. In addition to breakfast, there is afternoon tea and Meihao's special late-night bowl of noodles. Breakfast is just some regular meat and vegetables, a combination of Chinese and Western, including steamed buns, but breakfast ends at ten o'clock. After 11 o'clock, it's afternoon tea. Afternoon tea consists of some tea, snacks, fruits, and yogurt, candy and bread. Anyway, they are all foods that children will like. It's nice to sit in the restaurant in the afternoon and have some snacks to rest. Good choice. The noodle buffet is also available in the evening. There are some handmade noodles, rice noodles, wontons, meatballs, vegetables, etc. You can pick up whatever you want in the bowl, and then hand it over to the chef, who will help cook it. The restaurant is not big, but it still has what it needs. Although it is small, it has all the essentials. When I went downstairs to check out, a housekeeper immediately came to ask me how I felt about my stay and whether I was satisfied with my stay. Of course my answer was yes, hahaha. The weather in Guangzhou is really cold, so the housekeeper immediately served us hot tea to warm our hands. Then they gave us small gifts, including masks, tissues, and hand warmers, which can be used on the road. The hotel has done a good job in these details and the service is in place. I will still choose this hotel next time I come to Guangzhou

Lichengruixuan Hotel (Guangzhou Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center Financial City)

Dongpu Economic Development Zone
The hotel is a typical Jin Jiang Inn hotel (stayed in a couple of hotels of this brand). Rather clean and comfortable to stay (when all day you go sightseeing and come to the hotel to take a shower and sleep). The only things I did not expect is the so called “window facing hallway”; it wasn’t hallway at all, but a kind of a well with some horrible light which was on 24/7 creating a sensation of a day light. To sleep one needs to shut the curtains very well, otherwise it’s really annoying. (See on the pictures) the AC works okay, but needs some cleaning. A couple of times during our stay we had some blackouts, so we called the reception to fix this problem. The curtains also need to be changed, as they are filthy.
GUANG ZHOU BOYUE HOTEL

Although I stayed at Boyue Hotel for only one night, I was really satisfied. We contacted the lady at the front desk of the hotel before checking in. She was really a super super super nice lady! Because we have elderly people, we want to find a quiet hotel. We searched for a hotel for a long time and finally chose this hotel. The main feature of this hotel is that it really did not disappoint. The room is great, and the lady at the front desk is also super friendly. She upgraded us to a 1.8-meter big bed, carried our luggage for us, and recommended delicious and fun things to do nearby. The lake view Golden Pavilion morning tea they recommended is very good, and the tiger skin chicken feet there are very delicious! ! ! Next time I have the opportunity to visit Guangzhou, I will still choose this hotel, after all, it is really good!

I booked a special room type, the size of the room is just right for two people, and the decoration is simple and elegant. And the windows are so big that you won't feel stuffy, and you can watch Running Man on the TV, unlike other hotels where you can't watch anything. The location is easy to find. It is an eight-minute walk from the subway, so I will consider staying again next time!
桃歡喜青年旅舍(廣州員村站店)

I used to run a youth hostel, but I have quit in the past few years. To be honest, the most important thing about a bed accommodation is clean and free of odor. Second, the internet speed must be fast. Young people can't do anything without their mobile phones, and the internet speed is slow, very boring, and can't keep people. This youth hostel is very good for the above two points. that's enough! Maybe in the future there will be deliberate negative reviews from people who don’t know how high and good the world is, as long as the boss keeps it as always. Recommended! Worthy of praise!
