Great experience! From the receptionist in the parking lot to the front desk and lounge are first class As soon as I entered the wooden house, I smelled a faint woody fragrance, and my whole person suddenly relaxed a lot. You have to take off your shoes when you enter the hotel, and the front desk will take care of them, so you directly step on the tatami with your feet, soft and comfortable. The room is very large, there are three doors from the main door of the room to the position of the bed, so the room is very quiet. The bed is very large, moderately soft and hard. There is free water, beer and juice in the small refrigerator. The electric kettle has hot water that has already been heated, and there is also a pot of room temperature water to drink next to it The room is heated and air-conditioned at the same time In addition to shampoo and other products, there are also toners, makeup lotions, and lotions that can be used. There are also hair loops for long hair. The whole arrangement is very careful. The view of the room is first-rate, and soaking in a daze in the open-air hot spring is a first-class enjoyment. Dinner and breakfast are in the restaurant on the second floor. Arrange a time with the waiter to go to the first floor and they will show you where to eat. Dining is in a semi-private room with tatami mats, and no other guests will be seen. The waiter for both meals is the same person, needless to say, polite, with a bright smile, very hard to explain the dishes in simple English. It is suitable for people who like to be quiet, slow, and [not to see people]!

Style. Taisho era traditional onsen Setting. Hakone Suishoen is a cultural property that belonged to the Mitsui family, built 1925 Explore. Hakone. Was here late October, Hakone is a beautiful area and it is almost autumn foliage season Rooms. 23 rooms on the property surrounded by old maple trees and bamboos. Two beds in room Hananome. Sisley amenities. Large shower area that steps out into the outdoor onsen which faces the trees, found it to be truly restorative as I felt a bit beaten down when I arrived. Complimentary mini bar (except for the champagne and Macallan). Dark wood furnishings in my room looked dated and room had very little windows and natural light @ the hotel. great service throughout my stay, although strange to be served welcome tea in a paper cup. Didn’t try the public onsen. High quality souvenirs in the restaurant and lobby shop. Meals in the gorgeous historic Mitsui property Food and drinks Excellent traditional kaiseki dinner and breakfast in a private room in the historic Mitsui residence (aka restaurant Momiji). Built 1925 but still comfortable (ie floor heating) I was in Japan for three nights and while this was not a Michelin restaurant ( tried a few during this trip ), dinner here was my favorite and my comfort food. I kept on thinking about how food is functional medicine and this place hit the spot Prices. Moderate $662 as included a delicious dinner and breakfast Rating. 4/5 ( everything was perfect except for the welcome drink in a paper cup and my room’s decor/lighting )

Hakone Gora Onsen Hotel Kasansui

Gora/Sengokuhara Hakone|0.98km from Sounzan
I stayed with my wife. Although the response of the employees, including foreigners, was good, the following points were severely evaluated.・The taste of the dish is not bad. However, it was a format that lined up the finished product a while ago and warmed up the pork shabu in front of me. The quantity is small. When I informed my wife in advance that she couldn't eat pickles, she just didn't have pickles. Usually, tsukudani is served as an alternative.・The room is large, but the toilet, washbasin, and bath are small units that seem to have been installed later. Because it was a room next to the large public bath, is it sulfur? The smell was terrible and the room was hot and annoying. The air conditioner was not working well, and even if I turned it to silent, the wind noise was loud, and I woke up frequently in the middle of the night. There was a thin mattress on the tatami bed, but it felt like it was sticking to the bottom and was hard. In the morning, my legs were itchy, so when I looked, I saw a big ant.・Someone left the window of the bathroom slightly open, so there were various insects (big gadfly, golden bug, moth, etc.), and I couldn't take a relaxing bath as I'm not good at insects. I did. It's an old building, but it was a shame because the quality of the hot springs was good. I think changing the lighting to LED will improve the situation.・I think that the facilities are behind, such as the WiFi can only be used in the guest room on the 2nd floor. There are also good points, such as having a table tennis room. If it says that it is suitable for the price, it may be so. However, there are plenty of affordable and comfortable lodging options. It's a shame because the hot springs were so good.

Gen Hakone Gora

Gora/Sengokuhara Hakone|1.19km from Sounzan
Wanted to stay at a hotel with a private onsen during our stay in Hakone. The room itself was absolutely amazing. Super comfortable and I loved the tatami floor and the big balcony overlooking the hills. I could go on forever talking about how beautiful and spacious the room was. Lighting is very important to me and Gen Hakone got this perfectly, even having LED colour changing bulbs incase you want a cooler/warmer tone to the room. My only problem with the room is the shower. It is cool that the shower cubicle connects to both the bedroom and outside next to the onsen tub so you could step out of the shower and into the tub. However, this design might not be the best for cold winters as the glass could barely keep in the heat. We had a chilly evening when we went and if I stood close to the shower, I felt the chill. The plastic on the shower door that keeps the water in was loose so water can leak out onto the floorboards in the bedroom. I could already see the water damage on the floorboards so perhaps this should be fixed otherwise it will create a problem in the long term. The design for each room might be a little different but I found it a little strange that one of the beds is literally next to the shower cubicle. The room has floor to ceiling windows including the shower cubicle so how do they keep the light out in the morning when you are still sleeping? There is a blackout blind that separates the bed and the shower cubicle at night which runs all the way to the sliding door that separates the bedroom and living area. However, don't expect a total blackout as the design of the room cannot cover all the places where light shines. The kaiseki dinner was very delicious but I loved the breakfast more. It was huge and filling and such a great experience! The room price was extortionate but the beauty of the room plus the food kind of pays off for it. In terms of quality of service, this was also top-notch. Although staff didn't speak the best English, they tried their best to deliver their messages and we really appreciated their efforts. They immediately respond to pick-up requests when we called or emailed them. We had a little blip on arrival when we expected them to pick us up at Gora station but they werent there. It turns out that when we emailed them about our arrival time and requested for pick up prior to the trip, it doesn't actually secure a reservation, it's just giving them a heads up. So if you require them to pick you up from Gora station, give them a call when you arrive and they will come within 5 minutes. They can also drop you off or pick you up at particular points too but best communicate with them on that when you are there. The hotel is minute away from Naka Gora tram station which makes its very convenient to travel to the ropeway station and Gora station. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Gen Gora and wish to extend our gratitude to the staff and their service there.

Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel

Kowakidani/Miyanoshita
There is a description that it is a cloudy hot spring of Yunohana, so I went to the hot spring. Only the open-air bath was a hot spring. The open-air bath is small and the depth of the hot water is too shallow to 20 cm? It was only about half of the calf, and it was like a baby pool. It seems that the people around me also made a complaint, and they filled me with hot water in the morning, but this time it was not cloudy water, but transparent and just added hot water. Where is the cloudy water around me? Yunohana? I was complaining. The people at the front desk were not very friendly and I was too disappointed because the price was high in Hakone. Like other reviews, the amount of Yunohana kaiseki was small and unsatisfactory, but the almond tofu was very delicious. Also, the correspondence of the customer service staff who carried the food was great. However, I thought I would refrain from going in the future because the hot springs were bad.

In the book called the ultimate source inn 73, it was included in the luxury class in the hot spring inn which was in the best 10, but it was inspired to stay cheaply in GoTo. I think Uri is an open-air bath in a separate building assigned to each room 1. 8 rooms accept up to 8 guests, and there are 8 open-air baths, but 6 on the 1 floor and 2 on the 3 floor. The third floor seems to be wider and the view is good, and we were lucky to have an open-air bath on this third floor and had a rock bath. But the outside temperature was low because of winter, and the bathing at night was very cold. It's dangerous after drinking... Some people have bad evaluations for meals, but it's small and sophisticated, although it's not volume, and it was a favorite dish for me of the sake school. The guide was certainly a foreigner, so there were times when it was a little difficult to understand what he was saying, but it was a very friendly customer. The hot spring was certainly a good hot water, but I thought it was a little more luxurious, so I was a little disappointed there. Overall, Cospa feels a bit bad, but it is definitely a very good inn if you don't think about the price. There is nothing around, so I think it is an adult hot spring inn to relax while enjoying hot water and meals.

This time, I chose this inn for GoTo travel near sounzan station because it was convenient and cheap Hakone free pass because it was the purpose of taking a new vehicle (Allegra), sightseeing in Oyuya, and pirate ship boarding. I was guided to a 5 story 5 floor room, but there was no EV and the stairs were tight for the elderly 々 couples. But the room was only equipped with a dedicated open-air bath and the view was great. I was able to spend without contacting almost other guests in the room meal with corona countermeasures, and the young lady of Nepal was impressive.
