Zancheng Hotel (Hangzhou Xihu Boulevard)

The staff was very helpful and patient with us. I booked the wrong month and my reservation was not matching. They told me not to worry and we figured it out. Then they upgraded us ! The beds and blankets/pillows are very comfortable and the bathroom is really well equipped. The only downside is that it smelled a bit or cigarette when the bathroom ventilator was turned on. The room was very clean and was indeed smoke free.

My recent stay at the Zancheng in downtown Hangzhou left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the positives. The location couldn't be better; situated right in the heart of downtown Hangzhou, it was incredibly convenient for getting on the subway to anywhere in Hangzhou. Being close to public transportation hubs made navigating the city a breeze, which was a huge plus and made getting to work for me much easier. However, the cleanliness of the hotel was not up to par. While the common areas seemed adequately maintained, my room left much to be desired. There was noticeable dust and grime in corners, and the bathroom could have used a more thorough cleaning. It was disappointing to see this lack of attention to detail, especially considering the otherwise promising aspects of the hotel. On a brighter note, the price point was very reasonable, offering great value for money considering the prime location. For budget-conscious travelers like myself, this was a significant factor in choosing this hotel. Zancheng Hotel in downtown Hangzhou offers a convenient location and competitive pricing, making it an attractive option for travelers on a budget. However, improvements in cleanliness would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

Very near to train station. Good facilities and friendly staffs However, the room has very strong smell of cigarettes. Also the pillows are infused by the smoky smell. A bit disappointed because the experience was great until I opened the door. Have to open window during winter just to lighten the smell…

The room is very big I think I can bring my whole family next time.
