I stayed for 1 night. The room I stayed in had bedbugs (10 bed male dorm). I saw 2 of them crawling on my bed curtain, but I don't think I had any bites. I told the manager about it but she said that she didn't believe me because no one else complained. This can happen in even the best hotels, but you have to deal with bedbugs quickly or they will become a big problem. The guest house is generally clean and well kept but the 10 bed male dorm mostly has long stayers and the room smells like it has long stayers, complete with a big pile of junk in the middle on the room.

The hostel is in a really good location. The common area and the rooms are in different floors. The staff were really friendly and accommodating.

I had to come to Hong Kong for my visa. I didn’t really have much time to prepare for this trip, and I was on a budget, so I checked out low-cost hotel rooms for Hong Kong. It’s one of the world’s most expensive cities, so is it possible to visit this fabulous destination while on a budget? Yes, and Ashoka Hostel was perfect for what I needed. At around $44 USD per night, Ashoka had exactly what I wanted. I don’t come on vacation to hole up in my hotel room. I just need a clean, quiet place with a comfy bed so I can rest and clean up. The room was the smallest I’d ever stayed in, but really, I didn’t need a sitting area for entertaining. I want to say the room measured around 12 feet from the door to the window at the back of the room, and about six feet wide. The double bed took up most of the room. However, with the bed on a slightly elevated platform, there was space to put your luggage. There was a small safe in the furthest corner under the bed. I also had my own bathroom. I was instructed to turn on the switch for the tankless water heater about ten minutes before I wanted to take a shower. Hooks in the bathroom and on the wall behind the room’s door provided a place to hang towels and clothes. A room air conditioner and a wall-mounted fan made the room delightfully cool, just the way I want it when I sleep. The sheets on the bed were clean, and a fluffy comforter was folded at the foot of the bed when I walked in. Soap and body wash were provided, and so was a towel. A bedside table was mounted on the wall. There weren’t any telephones, but a television was also mounted to the wall. Internet service was provided on three networks. In the lobby, there was a television set and a small couch. A microwave and water cooler were there was as well. On my birthday, which was rainy, the front desk offered the loan of an umbrella, which I thought was a very nice thing to do. There is a floor to ceiling map of Hong Kong mounted on a wall so you can take photographs of where you’re interested in going. The Nathan Road location put Ashoka Hostel right in the middle of what’s poppin’ in Hong Kong. It was a very convenient location, just down the street from a subway stop. There are tons of stores nearby, ranging from small food shops, to grocery stores to designer goods. ATMs were in abundance. I wasn’t sure how long I’d be staying there; that all depended on the Chinese Visa office. However, when I had to extend my stay, there was no problem at all. I just paid in advance for the number of nights I thought I needed. There is a cooler in the lobby that sells bottled water, soft drinks and beer. Downstairs, the ground floor of Chungking Mansions, where the hostel is located, has lots of food stalls run by Indians, as well as convenience stores and little stores that sell phone accessories. I thought my room had just enough electrical outlets, but depending on what you need to plug in, an adapter and a power ***** might be a good idea to bri

I decided to stay here temporarily because I was away from the Hong Kong and Macao express train. Although the room was very narrow and the sound insulation was not good, during the National Day, the temporary reservation price was less than 300. I was very satisfied! The hotel has prepared a conversion plug, the Wi-Fi is smooth, and the transportation is very convenient. It is less than 200 meters from the subway exit. There is a direct train to Hong Kong and Macao downstairs. There are many snack bars and the taste is pretty good!

The room is clean, not large in size, but fully functional, including bathroom and toiletries. It is located in a busy city with convenient transportation. There is a minibus stop and various shops downstairs, suitable for purchasing on behalf of others.

Our recent stay at The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui was a mixed experience, with both positive and negative aspects that shaped our overall impression. Pros: Convenient Location: The hostel is strategically located in a lively neighborhood, providing easy access to public transportation and local attractions. Polite and Friendly Staff: The staff at The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui were consistently polite and friendly, contributing to a positive atmosphere during our stay. Cons: Noise and Capsule Size: Despite reminders to keep quiet, other guests in this capsule hotel often failed to follow the guidelines, leading to disturbances. The capsules are too small, and the thin mattresses made for an uncomfortable sleeping experience. The lack of proper ventilation necessitated opening the capsule door for air conditioning, affecting overall comfort. Unpleasant Odors: The pervasive smell of mothballs throughout the facility was overwhelming and contributed to headaches during our stay. Capsule Movement Disturbances: Guests occupying the bottom capsule may experience sleep disruptions due to excessive movement from capsules above, highlighting a design flaw in the sleeping arrangements. Small and Unsanitary Toilets: The restroom facilities were cramped, not sufficiently clean, and could benefit from improvement. While disposable towels and toothbrushes were provided, the overall cleanliness fell short of expectations. Disposable Slippers: The disposable slippers provided were criticized for being too small and thin, prompting a preference for wearing socks in the supposedly quiet areas. Cleanliness Concerns: While generally clean, the hostel could benefit from enhanced cleanliness standards to meet the expectations of discerning guests. Value for Money: Considering the price paid for our stay, The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui offered a value that was close to average. However, with several areas requiring improvement, the overall value could be significantly enhanced through better amenities and services. Conclusion: The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui provided a close-to-decent stay with room for improvement in various aspects. The convenient location and courteous staff were overshadowed by issues such as noise disturbances, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, unpleasant odors, and cleanliness concerns. With a commitment to addressing these shortcomings, this capsule hotel has the potential to offer a more satisfactory and better value-for-money experience in the future.

Facilities: Although the sparrow is small, it has everything Hygiene: Neat and tidy, very clean Environment: The transportation is very convenient and the neighborhood is safe. There is a subway station downstairs. There are many restaurants nearby and it is very convenient for shopping🛍️ Service: The boss is very enthusiastic I initially booked another hotel in the same building. The room type did not match what I had booked and the attitude was very bad. I would like to thank the Ctrip housekeeper for helping me find this hotel in a timely manner. I returned immediately. The service was very good and attentive, and the room was also great. Comfortable.

The owner of this hostel owns also many other hostels in the building, so when arriving two days before our booking (this hostel), we were guided to other hostel (Castle Inn) for the whole stay. The room looked exactly the same, so I bet these hostels are quite similar. We found the owner’s number on the hostel door and after a call he kindly helped us with no delays. Payment was also laid-back, I paid something upon arrival and the rest the next day after changing more local currency. (Last two nights prepaid online, no problem with that) If you book anything from Chungking Mansions, expect very small rooms with backpacker style. Knowing this and comparing the price to the Hong Kong hotel prices, it wasn’t a problem that the room wasn’t too clean and we needed to ask for second toothbrush and a new light bulb. The stay was no luxury but private and convenient. BTW, on the whole Chungking Mansions might seem chaotic and filthty at first glance, but actually it’s a lovely place of cultural encounters to explore if you have an open mind!

The location is excellent, in the heart of Kowloon on the main street. It’s really difficult to find the entrance to the hotel and the reception. It is located inside a large house in section D, on the 16th floor. Friendly receptionist, ready to help with everything you need. But the cleanliness of the rooms was disappointing. There were half-smoked cigarettes in the room, a lump of someone's hair, and there was no second sheet to cover ourselves with. I couldn't imagine this in a hotel for $70

This really refreshed my understanding of Hong Kong. Although I heard that the rooms in Hong Kong are small before going there, to be honest, there is one thing to say, this room is actually not that small, even though the bed is leaning against it. It's by the window, but I can still sleep, but what worries me is the service here. I stored my things here after checking out, but because the journey was overtime, I was scolded by the boys after I came back in less than an hour.
