This hotel is well located to bright summit peak and turtle peak, ideal for watching sunset and sunrise. They recommended that we watched sunrise from bright summit peak, and therefore, we should go to turtle peak for sunset, and we were very lucky to witness both! We booked a triple room. The room was a good size, although the bathroom was on the smaller end. The only downside was the room was quite cold, despite the radiator being on full power. There were extra blankets in the room for that purpose. The service was otherwise impeccable: we were given ginger tea on arrival, we were shown to our room (albeit it was outside the main block), the hotel supplied down jackets and torches for sunrise the next morning. They called us to inform us that there were a lot of visitors on the summit, and to leave earlier the next morning for sunrise to get a good spot. We were also given snacks, fruit and a free coffee the next morning for our descent. Breakfast was a buffet and there was a good variety of food.

Finally brought my family to Huangshan. Booked a 4 bed room at Xihai hotel, it is much better than expectations. Automatic warm toilet seats with bidet function. Overhead projector in one of the rooms. Warm and responsive service from guest butler Sanbao（三宝）, issues (toilet seat remote controller battery and room temperature) reflected were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Hotel staff are very friendly and courteous, hotel front desk, doorman and morning breakfast staff.

My husband keith and I reaaly enjoyed our stay at Vienna I H south gate. The staff were very helpful with information about places to visit. We also appreciate their information with buying tickets, arranging local travel and local foods. I would be happy to recommend the Vienna as the place to stay in Tangkou. Hong Griffiths.

Fantastic little little hotel with great service If you are looking for a genuine historical and unique hotel experience with super service — then this is the place for you. If you like hyper modern and fancy hotels with glass and concrete, stay away. Yujian No8 has a great location I’m Tunxi (Huangshan old city). Location is rated good because of it depends where you are going. If you want to visit the old city this is perfect. It is a little difficult to find the hotel if you are on your own, but we were met by hotel staff who helped with suitcases and directions. You can not drive in Tunxi old city so there are a few hundred meters to walk. There is a direct bus line from Huangshanbei railway station or you can easily use taxi. The location is very quiet and it feels like you are experiencing a jump in time. The staff is great. They do speak little English, but it’s easy to use translator apps on your phone/ if you have WeChat they also have their own account where it’s easy to communicate. The staff provided very useful information about the area and were very helpful, nice, friendly and professional. The hotel has spacious rooms and lovely public area. This is a very unique traditional hotel, with classic decor and design. The room was very clean with nice amenities. Even if the hotel is displaying historical design, it has modern and nice stuff in the rooms. Our room has bathtub and shower and also a small lounge. Very enjoyable. The overall experience with a super location for exploring the old city made this one of our most memorable stays. We can highly recommend Yujian No 8!

The hotel environment is very good, newly renovated, the room is also very good, I booked a street view projection bed room, there is a large balcony, sitting on the balcony and watching the pedestrians coming and going on the old street, very comfortable. The projection is very clear, the mattress is very comfortable, and the shower has a large amount of water. Also equipped with disposable bath towels and towels, too intimate. The location of the B&B is very good. Tangkou Bridge is just outside the door. Under the bridge is the commercial street along the river. Basically, all food, clothing, accommodation and transportation are here. We went here on a snowy day. The scenery is also good and worth taking a photo. The night view of the bridge is also good at night. , the store's service attitude is very good, the air conditioner alone can't turn on the heat, but they also gave me a heater, otherwise it would be too cold for me. The store also helps with carpooling, which makes it convenient to go to and from the train station. The price is good, and the large bed room has enough space for personal travel. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to lie on the bed and enjoy the scenery outside the window. Finally, let me talk about the problem. The air conditioner is not repaired and there is noise. The shower room is dripping all the time. The overall facilities are a bit old. Judging from the operating costs of the B&B, this price is probably what it is. Yes. It was okay for me as a not very particular individual traveler. The overall rating is good.

Conveniently located and within walking distance to the Huangshan North Train Station and Huangshan Passenger Bus Terminal. Hence, it is a good base to leave the luggages for a (backpacked) trip to Huangshan Mountain (Danxia Peak) and Hongcun Ancient Village (Moon Fen). It is also convenient to take Bus number 21 at the bus stop outside the Railway Station to Tunxi Old Street (about 30mins for CNY2). Good selection and nice buffet breakfast (mainly Chinese crusine).

Highly recommended! We checked into this store on Tunxi Old Street after climbing Huangshan Mountain. First of all, the store is brand new. It is very conspicuous and easy to find. After entering the gate, you still have to walk a short distance to the lobby, but I was pleasantly surprised that it has a rain-proof design and a large slope for easy pulling of suitcases. This detail is very impressive. It is also something that many similar hotels don’t have. Then there is the lobby, which is clean and bright. The self-service check-in machine can visually see the distribution of hotel rooms and then select available rooms. We didn't want to walk around with our luggage, so we chose a room close to the elevator. In particular, I would like to mention that the lady at the front desk is very gentle and patient. Then the room was very clean, with all floors, no carpets, and no strange smell. This room is the most satisfactory hotel room design in our Jiangxi and Anhui travel route. The toilet and bathroom sinks are large enough and well laid out. There is also a carefully arranged small table for making tea and drinking tea. Tea sets and tea leaves are all prepared. Because we were in a hurry, we didn't have time to eat breakfast. There is also a breakfast shop next to the hotel which is good. One more thing, because I was short of water while climbing Huangshan Mountain, I asked the hotel for water, and found that there were six bottles of pure water in the room! Thumbs up! All in all, it is a very surprising hotel and the price is super cost-effective! A heartfelt recommendation from a guest.

This village is free of charge and has not undergone large-scale commercial development. It is suitable for relaxing here. Not far behind the hotel are wetlands, ancient bridges, and ancient houses. The stream in the village is gurgling, and it is a typical village in southern Anhui. The decoration of the hotel is unique. The boss put a lot of thought into it. The furniture is all solid wood and everything that can be intelligent is intelligent. Xiao Ai does everything. Breakfast was great and pick up and drop off service provided.

Our stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel. The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isn’t necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right). While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly). We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking. Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later. I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.
