Hotel Tautermann

Hotel was great for a short sightseeing trip. It is located slightly out of the main city hub. If you're walking there, it is slightly uphill but nothing too drastic and accessible by bus. Really appreciated the breakfast each morning and they packed us a take away breakfast pack when we had to do an early checkout before breakfast was normally being served.

Very cosy and calm hotel with friendly service and good breakfast. Location was perfect, close to the city center but in a quiet area. Would come again!

No airflow room was on basement with no fan or any aor flow we coudnt open the window because of it being at road and anybody could come inside. Hotel itself wasnt bed only down point was it was too hot inside with no air or ventilation system.

One of the best choice in Insbruck.

We stayed in a Family Room- worked well for two parents, two kiddos. Clean, comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Printed out some train tickets for us, gave good tips for navigating the neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!

We were glad we arrived by taxi the Hotel is hard to find. It is on a hilly side street on a dark winter night. Good bus connections to town centre 300 metres uphill. Interesting area. The room is simply furnished. One plug to charge phones/devices. Walls are well-insulated, so it was quiet. 130 euros is OTT for this room - it was peak ski season rate. Hotel was packed. Breakfast was decent, the boiled eggs were cold as if they came straight out of the fridge. Coffee machine was modern, but the old coffee cups were too small for the portions. Given the number of people, the receptionist was overwhelmed and unhelpful. He was borderline rude twice - on arrival and when I told him there was no hot water in the water heater. We would not plan to stay here again much as we love the city.

The hotel is on a hill on the other side of the Inn, in an alternative quarter of Innsbruck - a pleasant surprise. Trendy bars & curious workshops/ craft shops are all nearby. Our room was warm - almost overheated, and apart from the fan which rumbled once you switched the bathoom light on, and the dearth of sockets to charge a phone, everything was decent, including breakfast. If you request "mountain view" as we did - we found you need to twist your neck to see beyond the house opposite, but it's there. However I'd like to warn potential guests that the hotel doesn't necessarily reply to emails, or pick up the mobile phones on their website. It made us worried, as our plane had been diverted, and it was getting late. As I made the reservation months earlier, I tried to check someone would still be there late evening. I couldn't get through. On arrival, there was noone at the reception, and once the receptionist arrived, he chided my husband for using the bell provided. We were told that our email wasn't received, no explanation was given re mobile calls. The landline may work - I am not sure. Also, it is worth knowing that the hotel entrance is on a sloped side street. We were lucky that there was no ice on the day we had to wheel our cases to the nearest bus stop higher up the hill.
