The facilities were good and the view was nice. I received the spa service, but it's a pity that the time was short, but the child and our couple were satisfied. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, but overall it was satisfactory for the price.

Fantastic location and view, parking little difficult to get to at back of the the hotel up a very steep hill. But got there and there was parking spaces free Staff were friendly, English language skills on reception was almost non existent but we managed to get by okay Good food for breakfast and evening meal considering the low half board price. As far as hotel food goes was reasonable quality and good selection My only negative was a resident who was. Parked next to me though I had dented his car with my door opening and the hotel gave him my room number directly rather than contacting me which was disturbing not respecting my privacy and then been hassled by a German speaking person who insisted that I damaged his car. Luckily with my communication skills I could explain him it was a physical impossibility and he accepted that Otherwise great place super location much cheaper than hotel Pupp and better location

My wife and I lodged one night at this hotel, while travelling. The room was excellent and rather large. The place is quite big, so getting from the reception to our room and vice versa was a bit complicated, also because you have to use your access pass every time you take an elevator. The receptionists are not sufficiently fluent in English, or don't speak English at all. They did not suggest that I could speak German instead. The breakfast was very nice, with ample choice. The dinner procedure was a bit special... we gave our room number at the restaurant entrance desk and made our choices from the menu. There was no bill or receipt at the end and no signature asked. When I asked the restaurant personnel for the bill, they didn't understand. The drinks, in our case a bottle of wine, were provided by the bar in the room next to the restaurant. Personnel is not taking the drinks order, you have to go to the bar yourself and order it there and you can only pay by card, they do not accept cash. On checkout, next morning, I could pay for the dinner, but only by card, because the receptionist did not have cash change, she said. I would suggest, that the hotel's management thoroughly review all customer interaction processes (reception area, restaurant, bar), because these are inefficient and sometime even unpleasant! The place itself, Karlovy Vary city centre, makes great photographs, but I would rate it 'disappointing' in terms of outdoor amenities. There are countless overpriced jewlery shops, but only a few nice restaurants and bars. If you have seen Karlovy Vary once, you don't need to see it again...

This was the most unfriendly and non professional welcome and check-in since ages in this hotel. After having had lot of problems to get a firm booking by mail (more than a a week !). We went to the adress given. This leads in the middle of nowhere, impossible to contact the reception, phone not answering (12 calls..). Hopefully a client let us know to go by feet - to the reception of the hotel which was a long way from the car. On arrival at the reception the first words of the lady was : "you have to pay first". I indicated that I wanted the address of the lobby of the hotel in order to bring my car there and take my luggages out. She never accepted to give me that information (!). Repeated 5 times : " You have to pay FIRST". Did not even look to my reservation number, asked me to provide again all my details (phone, name, address etc) that were given already. asked to check this on my passport. Totally upset by this attitude, and after 950 km I just decided to pay. I was then given my key and the room number. That was all. Did not get any information about the hotel, breakfast, check out time what soever. The room was not the kind of room I wanted. The parking place I requested during the booking by mail was indicated to be available. But in fact I had to move the car again 500 m from the hotel, in a very very steep road. The lady just repeated as a machine, 3 times "there is no more parking place, you have to park elsewhere". I had to pay the parking on top, which was not what was indicated on the phone during the booking process. In the room the bathroom was not clean. (see pictures !!). A reading lamp next to the bed was missing in the room. We told the reception about it and the same lady said "it may be a connection problem". So we just said : "No, a Lamp is missing. we want a lamp to read in the bed." but she did not care. I have never been in contact in a FOUR star hotel with such an attitude. Not mentionning the fact that we had no smile, no "welcome" or anything part of a normal and professional way of receiving guest. Not speaking about the extremely heavy process to get the room booking. Thanks to Axxos Hotel for welcoming people the first time in Karlovy Vary ! congratulations. Room 223 - stay 2 to 3 sept / And the COST ! 4,548 Kč what a deal...

Although the service staff was friendly and accommodating, the hotel itself is quite old, both style-wise but also with regards to room amenities. Some rooms, like the one I stayed in were not within reach of the wifi router. They did not have an alternative room of the same category so my choice was either to downgrade or live without wifi for the duration of the 4-day stay. Upon arrival in the room, a pungent smell was coming from the drains of the bathroom. Not exactly what you would expect from a wellness hotel. Despite maintenance checking the next day, there was no solution to the problem. The hotel has an open-air, unsupervised parking lot. Charges per day are € 20. Not exactly cheap. The pool and spa were decent, some proper towels would have been a good compliment to the linen sheets that had to be used instead for drying off after the pool. Even though this lies within the construction of the building, it was also rather complicated to get from certain rooms in the building to others, many times involving multiple/different elevators and crossing other floors. Overall the visit was ok but nothing to brag about. The hotel should invest in proper wifi routers and also fix the sewage problem.

The hotel has a limited number of parking spaces. If they are full, they do not address where customers will park. They just tell us to find our own parking. The nearest available parking lot was 11 minutes away by car (5.5 km). I have not experienced a similar approach anywhere in the world. It is common that if a hotel has limited parking capacity, they will offer, for example, valet parking as an alternative. Not so the Hotel Dvorak. After the trouble with parking, when we finally got to our room after a long time, we found that there was a terrible smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Apparently the room hadn't been used for a long time, so the siphons had dried up and the smell of sewage pipes was wafting through the room. Simple solution - pour some water over the waste and air out the room. Unfortunately, no one from the hotel thought of this and just let us stay in a smelly room, so we had to deal with it ourselves (except in the bathroom, where it was impossible to expel the smell and we had to ask for a spray to neutralize the smell). We encountered a similar smell again in the wellness area. For a hotel that charges €250 per room per night, something like this is inexcusable and clearly shows a lack of concern for customers. Normally the hotel would deserve a very good rating, but given the absolutely disastrous first impression I cannot rate it other than the lowest mark. Personally, I will never use the services of this hotel again and would recommend others to choose another alternative instead.

Interesting hotel, when we arrived I was amazed that we had to pay 20 EUR a day to park our car, Ive traveled all over the world but never had to pay anything like that to park a car. No open bar in the hotel is also very strange. Pool and room pretty nice.

The breakfast was quite ok, the waiter Peter and the porter Milosewitsch were very friendly, the rest of the staff was mostly unfriendly, unsuitable, no one understands or speaks German at the reception, the regulations for entering and exiting the parking lot were not explained to me, I couldn't use the parking lot as requested, but I had to pay even though I was in the public area for two days
