Stayed at Kyoritsu Resort for the first time other than La Vista. Put your shoes in the clog box at the entrance like a Japanese-style ryokan. It goes straight up on the tatami mat. I really like the relaxing style, but I'm worried about customers who don't even wipe the carry case. I think it's the same as walking on a tatami mat with bare feet. It would be great if you could use disposable paper towels to wipe at the entrance. The free private bath is a type that you use after washing in the large public bath, just like La Vista. There are hot springs and others. It's enough because you can use the 30-minute time limit. Each person had a luxury of one place. Ice cream after taking a bath, morning drink, and night crying soba are common. As for the third one, I can't participate yet because late hours are heavy on my stomach. Dinner is a Japanese course. Choose from 6 types of obanzai at the end. All types can be refilled and returned. You can choose either rice or noodles for your meal. It's not a luxurious ingredient, but I'm satisfied with the volume and taste. Breakfast is a buffet. How much is common, but everyone seems to be less interested than Tokyo Bay. I had a lot. The room is a compact twin. Shoji screens and bamboo Towa style I want a space to put my bag. Amenity is also a style to bring what you need in common. No waste. Buffet of tea.The variety was delicious. I was also interested in Arashiyama, but I thought that mutual use would be convenient if there was mutual cooperation such as luggage delivery. I saw several staff members in training, but everyone, including the front manager, was kind and comfortable. If you go to Kyoto again, please stop by.

Hotel Livemax Kyoto Gojo

Kyoto Gosyo/Karasuma
It was a good hotel where you can spend comfortably. There is no parking lot, but there is a coin parking lot on foot 1〜2 minutes, and the place I used was 950 yen within 24 hours after entering the store. I booked without meals, but if you buy a breakfast ticket at the front desk on the morning of the day, you can have breakfast. It's quiet because it's far from the so-called busy spots, but it's limited to trying to eat near the hotel. There is a supermarket called Matsumoto nearby, so you can buy as much food as you want, but it is cash payment only.

Too unexpected surprise, my daughter wants to live in a Japanese-style homestay, just place an order in xc to pre-order this one, not far from Kyoto Station, walk through a few small streets, there is a Japanese cultural heritage corner house, when the homestay opens, a Japanese grandmother, ask us in Japanese where to come, where to book a room, Then took us to the = building, temporarily laid glutinous rice for us, upstairs and downstairs were warm and thoughtful, the most touching thing was that she made a special trip upstairs to send a flower and two matcha chocolate. The experience is great

The room is really nice 👍 It blends Japanese tradition and modern style very well Check-in needs to call a lot of mosquitoes outside 🦟 So there's a little bit of difficulty. But most of them are very good after check-in 💖 I like the washing machine very much, including the drying function 💛 Shower and toilet separate two spaces It is very convenient to live with friends 😁 But on the second floor, I can be busy with the space of the sink 😬 It feels better to seal the entire bathroom space 😂 Because we're moving between two layers. And no slippers provided It is strongly recommended to bring your own slippers ❗ Geographical location is ordinary It is a comfortable walking distance to the bus stop and supermarket 👣 There are not many restaurants nearby 😯 Overall, the stay experience is good Have the opportunity to stay again 😁

Our family of 5 has visited japan more than a dozen times. Our stay with Morio and Yoshiko is the bestest ever. Their quaint and historic ryokan is ancient with just enough modern comforts to create a perfect balance of old and new. Our room and shared toilet are clean and comfortable. We rested like babies at night. The gregarious couple took such great care of us; they were like the elders in the family who fussed over our well-being, they were the first to greet us in the morning and stayed up every night to receive us home without fail, enquired about our day, cooked us a variety of delectable food for breakfast in the morning, even took care of our laundry and daily housekeeping. There were different pastries and warm tea waiting for us every night. Love everything about them - ever so very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They really are the best hosts and we are so privileged to have met and stayed with them. Gonna miss them and while we hope they will retire soon and enjoy their golden years, the energy and life which they bring / breathe into their cosy, immaculate and warm abode sustain and rejuvenate both hosts and guests alike; anyone would be so very lucky to stay with them in the days to come. Thank you, Morio and Yoshiko, from the bottom of our hearts!

It was a little difficult to reach the ryokan as it was located deep in the heart of a residential district. However it was a quiet stay, and a very pleasant one. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the bath facilities spacious and clean. The ryokan provided some sweets and tea for visitors. I only visited the onsen once, and was able to visit the bath on the left (facing the entrances) with two heated onsens on the lower level and one with a jacuzzi, and an upper level with an open air onsen and a cold water bath. Do note that the public baths close at 11PM, and the gender restricted public baths swap in the morning. If you are interested in dining at the ryokan, you may want to indicate a reservation beforehand. I unfortunately missed breakfast. Dinner was superb; the braised fish set was easily one of the best meals I had during my stay in Japan.

Guide for Travelling in Kyoto

Introduction to Kyoto

As the former imperial capital of Japan, Kyoto effortlessly blends the old with the new. This city in the Kansai region is renowned for its well-preserved temples, stunning gardens, traditional teahouses, and the historic geisha district of Gion.

Tips for Travelling to Kyoto

Travelers usually fly into Kansai International Airport or Osaka Itami Airport before making their way to Kyoto by train or bus. The city has an efficient network of buses and trains, including a subway system.

The official currency is the Japanese Yen (JPY). Credit cards are accepted in many places, but cash is still commonly used. Japanese is the primary language spoken, though English is understood in many tourist areas.

Visa policies vary based on nationality and duration of stay, so it is advisable to check prior to your visit.

Popular Attractions in Kyoto

Kyoto is home to an array of UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), Fushimi Inari Taisha, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Wander around the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, or take a walk through the historic streets of Gion.

Don't forget to visit Nijo Castle and the Philosopher's Path, especially during cherry blossom season.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Kyoto experiences four distinct seasons: humid summers, chilly winters, and mild springs and autumns. The city is particularly popular during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when cherry blossoms and autumn leaves transform the landscape.

Given the varied climate, clothing should be season appropriate. Comfortable shoes are essential for temple hopping.
