Dreamplace Bocayna Village

We were greated by very friendly reception staff. Our apartment was lovely & spacious with a big private patio/outdoor space. Accommodation was clean & well equipped. The resort was lovely & clean. There’s only 48 rooms so wasn’t very busy. Restaurant serves lovely food with a large variety of dishes, kids & huby had 6 courses each time! We organised a few excursions through the reception staff & they also ordered taxis for us. Only slight downside is there wasn’t much in way of evening entertainment. They’re a pool bar & pool table. You’re about 10 mins walk to local shop & bar but it isn’t a very lively area so don’t go thinking they’ll be dancing all night. Paul’s Sports bar was liveliest pub down there. If you looking for a quiet, relaxing resort then Bocanya is definitely the place to go. My boys (11 & 7) enjoyed the pool but it is deep. There is a little baby pool. Texas Rancho & the submarine were great excursions & the Rubicon Marina is also lovely. Would go back again x

My family and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. We had 2 bungalows, which were very spacious and clean. The outside space was also lovely. There were a few minor faults, but these did not spoil our holiday. For instance sticking doors, no slow speed on the fan, smelly drainage. The door situation was sorted, but the fan couldn’t be fixed which was a shame. The pool area is very nice, it was never busy and sun-beds were always available. We went AI and the food was very good, I feel more labels are needed on some of the food areas, mainly by the ready made salads. Also at certain times the food wasn’t piping hot, but overall it was very tasty. There were some small issues with getting cups for drinks during the day which took a while to sort out. But again, not a big problem. The staff all deserve a special mention as they were great. There aren’t a lot of them, but boy they make up for that in their friendly and professional manner. Nothing was too much trouble. As a family we would definitely go back. Thank you for a great break.

Had 8 fantastic relaxing days here in March, literally no complaints, the bungalow was perfect with fantastic terrace with hot tub and sun beds. The resort was full but so peaceful and quiet. The food was excellent with plenty of choice, special shout out for the omelettes at breakfast. We were All inclusive and drinks were great, cocktails, spirits and wine all good. All staff were very friendly and helpful, will definitely return,

We are currently five nights into our week stay at this hotel. After reading the reviews we wasn’t really sure what to expect but wanted a week in the sun where our son turned three on day 3 of our holiday. We absolutely didn’t need to worry. The room is great, all amenities you need and the terrace with the hot tub is a great space. The pool area is spacious and no fight for sun beds and the food served is fresh and varied each night. What is the hotels best feature however without doubt is the staff. They have gone above and beyond for our little boy at every meal and all day every day. Yaseen, Abdul and Arturo in particular have been excellent, however every staff member we have interacted with has been great. We have had a great holiday so far with bars and a shop a ten minute stroll away and only 25 minutes along the front to the marina. Would come back without hesitation.

This was our second visit the staff were very friendly the complex looks well kept but a bit tired in places the 2 bed apartment was spacious but looking a bit worn in places, well equipped kitchen if needed and Wi-Fi was good no problems The food choice was ok and if you did not like the set course choice the buffet selection was good. A 10 min walk to local supermarket and a few local bars and about a 40 min walk to the marina with bigger selection shops eating places etc. The site is nice and quiet as set back no traffic noise . Will be returning again.

We recently returned from a 9 night stay at this hotel. It was our seventh visit to Playa Blanca and our sixth different accommodation experience. Overall, travellers preferring a quieter stay away from the main resort with spacious accommodation and some facilities to self caterer may like this hotel. Whilst the accommodation may lend itself to families, we felt other hotels across Playa Blanca are better suited for this group. Below are some thoughts to assist fellow travellers: - The kitchen, catering and cleaning staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. This was the highlight of our stay. - Food options are limited and would benefit from a reflection on the overall offer and quality, with the exception of omelettes - these were exceptional and made fresh. - Food in the buffet is not labelled. - The ‘warm’ lamps are ineffective, drying out food and not keeping it warm. These should be prioritised for replacement. - Pools are really cold, though a small one across from the bar is a tad more tolerable. Personally, I feel they are aesthetic but unusable. - The layout of the accommodation is spacious with a well designed bathroon, a separate kitchen and living area (useful for the evenings), and a spacious terrace area with two loungers and a nice sitting area. - The hotel may benefit from reviewing stock of the supplied crockery, cups, and utensils to ensure the offer is consistent. - Our accommodation came with a hot tub that would have benefited from a deep clean, we didn’t use it. - We weren’t sure how the hot water system operated, overall we had two days of cold water. The issue was reported and a boiler was mentioned. It wasn’t clear whether supply is limited. - A bus stop is close by and offers easy access across Playa Blanca. - A Supermarket is close by and is accessible one stop along on the bus or a 10min walk away. I’d recommend the latter.

Being honest, this isn't quite up to 4 star hotel level but it has everything you need for a great and relaxing holiday. The rooms are big and the outside space is superb - splash pool, sunbeds, seating etc. Couldn't complain about the food with 5 additional choices available for dinner each night alongside an ample buffet selection. It is quiet and there's no entertainment but, to be fair, they do say that on their website. All the staff were great and whilst a number of them do not speak English that well, it made for a great learning exercise for both them and us! Arturo deserves special mention for his service and fun attitude. Would recommend and hope to go back.

6 nights in Room 10 (Superior Deluxe Bungalow) with breakfast. Beautiful hotel, all areas clean and well maintained, staff friendly and polite. Our room: 1 x double 1 x twin 2 bathrooms. Open kitchen/dining/lounge. Huge terrace (see photos) with a view of the sea clear days. Dining room/breakfast: well laid out, with good choice of fruit, salad, cereal, and hot food (top tip: try the fresh made omelettes!) After 3 weeks in Furteventura we were ready for some peace and quiet but we were both genuinely surprised how quiet this place was; plenty of people milling around at breakfast time but given the few people by the pool it seems most folks went out for the day. The pool was on the chilly side which honestly didn't bother us, and although freeform, sizeable enough to get some good lengths in. There was a bar alongside the dining area but we rarely saw anyone in there and there is no evening entertainment. Good to know: 1. It's a good 25 min walk to the harbour along well lit main roads. I think there is a short cut but check it out during the day when it's light so you know where you're going. 2. There is a supermarket on a small complex of shops and bars just 10 mins walk away. (Check out Paulo's and Alfie's) 3. Market days (harbour); Sundays and Wednesdays 4. Taxi to airport approx €50

Had a wonderful week at Bocayna. Our room number 26 was fantastic gorgeous views and very large terrace over looking sea . So peaceful. The staff and everything about the hotel we couldn’t fault. Local bus every 20 minutes and taxis very reasonable . The walk from there along to Rubicon Marina and beyond is great. Thank you to all. We will be back for winter sun for sure
