Haymarket Hotel, Firmdale Hotels

We just got home from a wonderful 7-day stay at The Haymarket. What a gem of a hotel in an absolutely perfect location. We were a family of 5, and they situated us in the most perfect hotel set up ever- a 2 bedroom suite, with one door that opens to a small alcove and then there are 2 separate doors for each room. Both rooms had pull out sofas and large King beds, beautiful bathrooms (full baths with bar tubs and a tv- my daughter loved that!), seating areas, etc. We could be near enough to hear the children, but also had plenty of privacy as well. The rooms were absolutely perfect, spacious, and lovely. One of the best touches about this hotel and the rooms were the double windows in the bedroom area, making the room super quiet. I have never stayed in such a quiet hotel, no disruptions while sleeping. The staff was remarkable- so friendly, so helpful, so kind to our 3 kids, and so accommodating. We loved the pool area and the convenience of the restaurant and room service. We walked all over SOHO and dined at some wonderful restaurants just steps away from The Haymarket… not to mention steps from Trafalgar Square and tube stops. They helped us secure 2 lovely babysitters for when my husband and I wanted to go out alone. The Nannie’s were lovely and great with my kids. They had children’s books in the room, a special Kids menu laid out for room service, and offered one voucher for hot chocolate for each child. These little touches for the kids were certainly special. We had an ideal stay and hope to be back soon. We can’t recommend this home enough!

Amazing stay, even better than we remembered! We used to stay here frequently until we moved out of London, but my daughter was in a show at his majesty's theatre and we thought where better to stay! This hotel is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot (I need to review more often). The bed was like sleeping on feathers you just sink into it. The room was stunning and my daughter loved having a bath and watching the TV! Room service breakfast was delicious, was so sad to leave. We also ate lunch the following day at brumus and that was delicious too. The staff were so attentive and made you feel very special. I cant not wait to stay again, we have our 10 year wedding anniversary in June and will try and save the pennies to come back. It's not the cheapest hotel but it's worth every penny!

The Haymarket is not a grand hotel by any means, but that’s just fine by us. It is extremely comfortable, with excellent service, large, well-organized rooms (even in the lowest category), luxurious bathrooms with powerful showers, and wonderfully inviting common areas. The staff is always pleasant and seem to like working there. The location is ideal for us - easy access to the theatres, restaurants and shops of Soho and Mayfair, and to the Mall, Green and Hyde Parks for morning runs. Staying there is akin to visiting a friend who has eclectic and excellent decorating taste - and a wonderful 55 foot long swimming pool in the basement. Per our request, we were given the same room we had stayed in last July - and it was ready for us when we arrived at 1pm. Sadly the light we had enjoyed through the large windows during our last stay was obscured by painting scaffolding and nets - but I suppose one has to keep up appearances…After years of staying at the Berkeley and the Connaught, with occasional unfortunate forays to the Hotel Cafe Royal and the Stafford, we have found a London hotel that works for us; while expensive, it represents good value in the stratospherically priced market.

We brought the entire family for Christmas in London and we could not have asked for a more perfect stay at the Haymarket Hotel. We booked the two bedroom suffolk suite plus two additional rooms and it was perfection. The staff, the cleanliness, the comfort, the beauty, the design, the hospitality, the bar all exceeded our expectation. I cannot wait to return to the Haymarket on my next trip to London. If you are looking to be situated in central London but in a hotel that feels more like a luxurious home, this is the place to stay. Special shout out to Farid, the concierge , who went beyond to make our stay exceptional. Thank you to the entire team at the hotel. We appreciated all the attention to our every need.

A home away from home, when in London. Mark and his team make the stay faultless in every way, check in, room, food and cocktails and warm and attentive staff. The attention to detail in this hotel is second to none, and I always look forward to returning.

Hands down the best hotel in London. The service Mark and he’s team offer is second to none, the attention to detail makes for a memorable stay. The room service breakfast was fantastic and the pool area is an amazing facility. I have stayed here for both business and pleasure and cannot fault it.

Fantastic hotel, great service and brilliant staff. Would highly recommend. We only stayed for one night but I would have loved to have stayed longer. The bar was a lovely place to have a drink. The breakfast in the morning was excellent too, with great service and a really nice atmosphere.

The Haymarket is an incredibly special place. I had such a wonderful time with my 6 year old daughter for one night. She asked me “why is everyone being so nice to me?” As she was treated so well. Everyone was so friendly and there were lots of nice touches e.g they left a present of the book Matilda as we told them that we were going to see the show. They were also very understanding when we had a spilt drink in the room - which was big, comfortable and spotless. The only thing that confused me was that there were no tea making facilities in the room, but of course I found out that you just call and they will bring you a complimentary one. The location is fantastic- we popped into the National Art Gallery and walked to the show. We enjoyed the pre-theatre menu which was very reasonable and had a great children’s menu. On our second day we enjoyed the immense breakfast - delicious buffet table and a la carte choices. We then made the most of the swimming pool and inflatables before walking to the London Eye. Such a fun weekend! Thank you.
