Very satisfied with a hotel, worthy of this price. When I made a mistake at the time of booking, I saw that the room information showed that the facilities for the disabled were provided, and I didn’t think about it. I found that it was a special room for the disabled. It was really embarrassing. . . Before the check-in, the hotel contacted me via Ctrip and asked me about my check-in time. My answer may arrive at noon, which will be far earlier than the hotel's check-in time. The reply will be arranged according to the situation on the day. On the day of the check-in, we arrived at the hotel around 11:00 and they were all ready. Thank you very much! The hotel was originally remodeled by the bank and opened only last year, new and atmospheric. There are seven or eight restaurants in the hotel lobby, and the taste is comprehensive. Geographically, it is located in the downtown area, walking close to the hotels around the Thames, and next to the subway station. The decor of the room is completely classic British style, the details are carefully polished, very special and very like. There are no less than 20 kinds of bath products, which is extremely luxurious. I saw a comment on the book saying that the sound of the music downstairs was noisy, but the actual experience was completely unrecognizable. The sound insulation of the window was well done. The sound of the door next door was noisy. This may be the only fly in the ointment.

Aptel East

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my daughters 40th, we stayed on the 5th floor, we had room 30 which had a dodgy door so make sure it’s closed properly if you stay in it, the room was advertised as a city view but all we could see was the royal London hospital, my daughter had room 33 which you could see the shard from, just so your aware if your paying extra for the view it’s not really worth it, anyway to the good points of which there were many, check in was very quick and easy, you will need a £50 refundable deposit upon arrival, the reception staff were all very helpful and friendly, the room was very modern and we had plenty of space, the bed was comfy and we never heard any noise from anywhere during our stay, the rooms are a little sp**** and clinical, a few pictures on the walls would make a huge difference but didn’t in any way affect our stay, the area itself isn’t the best, lots of shops that were wholesale only, all shuttered up on a night with lots of graffiti on them, if you leave the apartments and turn right you come to the Castle pub, we went in here for a drink but the music wasn’t to our liking so left after one, if you keep to the left where the street splits at the Castle it’s like a different world, new buildings all very nice and clean, this way takes you towards the Tower Hill tube station which we used as we called into the Goodman’s field (Wetherspoons) for a breakfast to start the day, there are closer tube stations to the Aptel though, we would stay here again but it’s a little too far out for me, but don’t hesitate if your thinking of booking it, you won’t be disappointed

St Christopher's Liverpool Street

St Christopher Hotel in London at Liverpool Station is an excellent hotel on many levels. Their location is extremely convenient. However, it is their service that sets them apart. I checked in early as I had a business meeting and had just arrived on my flight. They accomodated me with an excellent room - no problem. When I arrived back in my room later that evening, I had a very warm welcome note along with several bottles of excellent IPA awaiting me. Every interaction with the staff was delightful throughout my stay. Defintely will be staying here again. Excellent service, lovelly room and friendly staff. Check in was quick and an upgrade to a King Room with an outside view, both my wife and i cant complain. We did have some issues with the power tripping off in the room due to a leaky iron but we was made to feel top priority and all was quickly sorted. Free mini-bar, 50'' telly, lovelly large shower. cant complain all very good and would definately stay there again, I would certainly recommend the Andaz...any issues I had were addressed quickly by the front desk staff. And the mini-bar in the room is complimentary, which means I was able to have a convenient source of drinking water (my main travel-worry) during my whole stay! There are several restaurants on site and several in the immediate area. Perfect for business travel, Great place in a great location for Liverpool Street. The Lobby Bar is fantastic, reminds me of a top end private bar in 1st Class on a 747 or the Orient Express. Very intimate and / or social however you want to roll, sitting either side of the bar. Great selection of drinks at good prices. The ambience is very warm and inviting, from the moment you walk in with the Doormen / Concierges. Top marks must to Fernando who works in the Lobby Bar. Very engaging, professional and makes amazing cocktails. Keeps his bar spotless clean and is a very interesting character. Delivers the experience. Been twice in a month and will definitely return - recommended

Great St Helen Hotel

Compact room but - as someone else said - nothing was missing. Well laid out bathroom and very, very warm room in stark contrast to freezing outside temperatures. Due to this the fire alarm went off in the morning waking us up with a start! Room with tea & coffee and very nice muffins and complimentary water. Staff very friendly and helpful. Central location to the City, near Liverpool Station and Bank. Overall recommended for 1 or 2 nights stay, would visit again.

I would like to say what a wonderful time we had at this beautiful hotel over the weekend. We were only 1 night and wished we had booked more. I would especially like to thank Zaema for her happy, friendly, helpful manner. She is a credit to you and your team. Nothing was too much trouble helping with tube instructions and timings and the hand written note left in our room was an especially lovely touch.

We were struggling to work out our evening. We stopped at the St Germaine branded bar on Bishopsgate. We were greeted by Elpee. From the outset they made us feel welcome and went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable. They let us choose our seat, and set us up for what we expected to be a brief libation. My disabled partner and I were really impressed with Elpees attentiveness and quality of service. Being in London and disabled it can be a hard to navigate and aggressive environment. Our stop refreshed us, and made a it an exciting stop in our brief to the city.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, it has very historic decor and is a real experience to stay in. The staff were friendly and personable, and I really enjoyed my stay. The room was nice and quiet (I usually need to wear earplugs when staying at hotels, and had no need to here) and the bed was very comfortable. Though a bath was pictured when I booked my room, I only had a shower which was a bit of a disappointment. The honesty bar was well stocked with various spirits and mixers, though I wish they had a few more cocktail recipes to try as it would be exciting to have more suggestions. It’s also worth noting that I needed to leave a £30 deposit when I checked in to cover any extras that I may have used during my stay (and any deposit not used was refunded at the end of my stay). The area around the hotel itself is mixed - Spitalfields market is lovely, but some of the areas nearby feel a little intimidating to walk through (walking towards the Shoreditch High Street tube station). There are plenty of bars and food options nearby. Overall I really enjoyed my stay, it was a really pleasant experience and well worth a try!

An Introduction to London: UK's Vibrant Capital

London, the capital city of the United Kingdom, is situated along the famous River Thames. Known for its iconic landmarks, diverse culture, and captivating history, London offers a myriad of experiences for every traveler. Here's a fun fact: London was the first city in the world to have an underground subway system, fondly known as 'the Tube'.

Navigating Your Way to London

Most international visitors arrive via London's key airports - Heathrow, Gatwick, or Stansted. From there, trains, buses, or taxis offer convenient travel into the city. If you're not a UK citizen, it's essential to check visa requirements ahead of your trip.

While the British Pound is the official currency, most places accept major credit cards. English is the widely spoken language in London, although you'll likely hear a diverse array of languages due to the city's multicultural nature. Remember to respect local customs, such as queuing in an orderly manner, a practice taken seriously by Londoners!

When to Visit: London's Weather and Packing Tip

London experiences a temperate maritime climate. Summers (June to August) can be warm with temperatures in London reaching up to 73°F (23°C), while winters (December to February) are generally cold and damp. The city is known for its unpredictable weather, so packing layers and a waterproof jacket is recommended. The best times to visit London are during spring (April to June) and fall (September to November) when the weather is mild and the parks are in full bloom.

Choosing Your Accommodation in London
