This hotel was located in a fantastic area that was walkable & felt safe. The employees were friendly & helpful. The room was clean & had everything we needed & more. The bed & pillows were extremely comfortable. The toiletries provided were high quality & smelled fantastic. Room had AC, safe, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, mini fridge (with honesty snack & wet bar), coffee/tea, extra blanket, etc. Wishing we had stayed longer.

We visited this hotel for the 2nd time. The location is prefect, there is a shopping centre next door with great shops, supermarket, an indoor karting circuit, lots for kids and adults to do. There is a great bus service nearby and a train station not too far a away. The hotel is spotless clean. The rooms are very comfortable. We had a premier plus room which also had a fridge, air con and heating. The only let down was the buffet breakfast. The food was cold and the toaster was a nightmare as even after 3 attempts it only produced warm bread. Breakfast can be bought cheaper across the road in McDonald’s and that is what I will be doing the next time. At £11.99 I expected the food to be warm at least. This aside, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was lovely and cosy and comfortable, it had everything you needed. The staff were so polite, welcoming and came across as if they couldn't do enough for you which was fantastic to see. We had a lovely time staying here and the food was fantastic we had a light bite to eat on arrival, the breakfast was absolutely brilliant and selection was fabulous. We would definitely recommend our stay to anyone. Great work everyone 👏 keep up the good work.

Good location near bus/trains. Smugglers Way is quieter than you might think it would be. I asked for an accessible room and my room was on the ground floor, and it had a shower wet room. The shower was not very powerful but it was adequate. The room was clean and the air con worked well (needed in the heatwave). I would say everything was good except the price (155) and the 'free' breakfast. The breakfast was a complete free-for-all with people all over the place and no signage (would help if people queued in one direction I think). 2 of the 4 hot items were empty (no bacon or scrambled egg); we were told a 20 minute wait for more croissants, there were no pastries left and at one point they even ran out of bread. This was at 9am so not at the end of breakfast service. I wanted porridge and it wasn't clear that this was an item you had to ask for, there was no-one to ask anyway! It would have been good if a member of staff was on hand in the breakfast area to refill and advise customers. There was one member of staff trying to clear all the tables and she was being asked lots of questions and ”clear this table now” by impolite customers. You could not sit at an empty clean table because she was so overstretched. She was clearly doing her best and staying polite and helpful. As I checked out someone was ranting about the breakfast to the staff so they were also unhappy with it. It is the worst breakfast I've ever had in a hotel and I have stayed in a good number of them! I have been bitten by an insect/flea or something on my foot and I was wearing socks at all times except in the hotel room so I can only assume it was something in the room? I understand they do let pets in this hotel so I'm hoping it's not bed bugs!
