Bentley London

London|1km from West Brompton Station
This was our first visit to this hotel. Since most of the cheaper 4 & 5 star hotels seem to have doubled their cheapest rates since Covid The Bentley seemed more reasonable. The reception was a bit disorganised with odd desks dotted around the ground floor but the staff were responsive polite and helpful. They did offer to take my overnight case to the room which I declined. But they shouldn’t of offered they should just have done it. I had reserved a King-sized room but they upgraded me to a suite. This was very nice suite, particularly large for central London. It was all outfitted in a luxurious way. I don’t know what the rate for this room would normally be but for the price I was paying(£359) it was very good value. My 2 main complaints of my stay were: the separate walk-in shower’s thermometer wasn’t working so not possible to use the first night. Very bad. Also, on the deal I booked it included breakfast. My wife and I wanted to have breakfast in our room, expecting to have to pay the ‘tray’ charge of £5 each. When the breakfast didn’t arrive for when ordered the next morning, my wife rang Roomservice. They told us we would have to pay fully to eat in our room. At this point I would normally have spoken to the manager and asked him what on earth was going on. But as luck would have it I was running late for a medical appointment and didn’t have the time. So we just cancelled breakfast and left with a bitter taste of being short changed 2 breakfasts. Conclusion-not sure, to be honest. Will possibly try again/

The pros: good location once 20 minutes from city centre and 5 minutes of underground. The cleaners are nice, the room was clean. The beds were clean, tidy and comfortable. The price was very good! The cons: hotel had many issues: wifi was not working for long periods, bathroom very small with tiles coming off the walls, some walls peeling, wardrobe precarious with water register in an unfinished floor inside, the both lifts wasn't working for 4 days. Once the price was really good, the bed was good and the underground closes, it worthwhile. But I can't recommend it if you need a little more comfort or lux.

Ok, the window is rotten, 2 nights listening to the sound of the car, upstairs the sound of the door is clear. The only advantage is that there is air conditioning. I can wash it at 37 degrees

We (being myself a woman and my twelve year old daughter) stayed here for three nights in November of 2022. We got a great deal on this hotel, we only paid 205 pounds for three nights. You do get what you pay for, the place is very basic, the hallway carpets are not the cleanest, there is a smell (like a combo of old person and BO in the hallway) but that being said it was a good experience. We used the room for sleeping only. Our room was on the basement level and it was small but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had two clean towels and a mostly working tv and Wifi. Not all rooms have a bathroom in them but ours did and it was clean, the shower had hot water and our sink was in our room. We were not bothered by any street noise and we slept very well here. We found George at the front desk to be very freindly and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic central location, half a block from the tube and several bus lines. It is safe and there is a grocery store and many restaurants in the area including an Indian place that was affordable and fantastic. We did not have maid service during our stay but they did come in and change our garbages every day. Breakfast was fine for what we paid, two pieces of warm toast with jam and butter, a hard boiled egg and a small piece of cheese along with orange juice and coffee or tea. It was served by a sweet, warm cheerful woman dressed in a Santa hat. For us this was a great place to stay, it was safe, it was clean it was comfortable and although basic it was very affordable in a very expensive city. We would stay here again and we would recommend it to those who want an affordable basic place in a great safe location to stay while visiting London.

I booked this place originally due to going to a concert at Wembley Stadium. It looked on maps to be in a good location between the stadium and my arrival and departure station. (Liverpool Street). The location from the tube station is fabulous, it’s around a 3 minute walk. The hotel from the outside doesn’t look much, but on the inside it’s a clean, modern, comfortable hotel. Our room smelt and looked brand new. The bed had a firm mattress, we had extra pillows that were super soft. Security at the hotel was good. We arrived back around 1:30am and was asked for proof of residency before being allowed in to the hotel. I like that. Breakfast was available for £14.99 per person. There is a small coffee shop too on the lower floor. This wasn’t open whilst we were at the hotel, but we did arrive late in the day. There is a vending machine for chargers, plasters etc…what I would have liked is a food vending machine as arrived back a little hungry…don’t get me wrong there is shops within a 5 minute walk, I just wanted it in the comfort of the hotel. I would recommend the hotel and I’d definitely stay here again, it was a great price compared to a lot of other places.

I stayed at this Best Western for 1 week in April 2023. Good points: - Location - fabulous location, few mins walk to tube station and Earl's Court full of restaurants/bars, shoppes, cafes, etc. - Room - I had a refurbished room which was very clean and new. The bed was extremely comfortable, w/c was clean. I had no problems with room noise but I was out of the room during the daytime (see below) - Staff - very pleasant and friendly. I appreciated the front desk asking for my opinions about the hotel on leaving. Not so good points: - The hotel is still being refurbished. This means that the main lobby, such as it is, looks like a construction zone. Work is done during the day so if you are in your room after 8 or 9 am , you will experience noise until about 5pm. Once the refurbishing is completed this should be a great hotel, and hopefully will maintain affordable rates. There was a simple sign indicating the ”Best Western Boltons Hotel” on the front door, so it was not an official Best Western sign w/logo, etc. To make it easier for patrons to locate the hotel it would be simple to print out a large colour sign, with BW logo, so you can identify the hotel from a distance when walking by.
