Hollywood Los Angeles|1.39km from Melrose Avenue
The hotel is in Hollywood, not far from the Avenue of Stars, walking more than 20 minutes, but the surrounding environment is just like the general, the streets look old and chaotic, all the way to see the tramp, one of them is still very fiercely staring at us It is not suitable for shopping nearby. Go out and turn right 20 meters to have a small supermarket, then walk forward to the crossroads, there is a Yoshinoya on the opposite side, left to go north for a while there is McDonald's, there is a tread joe supermarket less than one kilometer, there is taco across the road Bell, it is not difficult to solve the meal. I didn't rent a car, but the parking lot below the hotel is very loose. I can see that parking is very convenient. From here, go to the airport for 50 minutes, go to Universal Studios, the Hollywood sign is a few kilometers away, and it is less than ten kilometers to Beverly Hills, but it is not close to Santa Monica Beach. It feels that Los Angeles is very big. And very crowded. The room is OK, not very small, it is very comfortable to live, it is not very clean feeling, it is not even the new bath for two days, and did not give the suction carpet (tips are given), breakfast It’s the poor hampton inn that I have eaten. The variety is a little less, the taste is not so good. One day I don’t even have a piece of meat. I booked this price over 1800. The hotel feels worthless. It is better to spend more money to live in a better area.

First thing to say is that on checking in, we met the fantastic Corey on the front desk. He was so helpful, ensuring we got the best room available for our disability needs, even asking people to move cars so we could park closer to the room. He also gave us fabulous tourist advice, where to go, what to see. He is truly a credit to this hotel. The hotel itself was a basic motel style hotel. The room was small with a massive bathroom (wetroom). The room had a hairdryer (big tick) the mirror was too high to be used. The room had a coffee maker (tick) the only socket left a trailing wire across the wall. Sadly the room was not designed by a disabled person for practicality. There had also been water ingress at some point, there was a crack in the ceiling and the wallpaper had started peeling. However - the cleaning was good. The breakfast was great, but the room too small, we struggled to find space to sit, as did others - some of which were eating on sunbeds around the pool. The pool itself was excellent, but a distinct lack of sunbeds, and th ebattery had been stolen out of the hoist chair. Finally, our top 3 requests: Create a disabled parking space next to the diabled room Retro fit with a rise and fall sink / mirror unit Move the breakfast room to a more suitable space Overall it was the finer details that let this hotel down, but the effort of Corey that made those little things disappear a little. Without him thos was a 3 / 5 stay, with him a 4.

We recently stayed on the 8th (top) floor in a deluxe king room. So many reviews mention a noise issue, but we NEVER heard noise from the top floor bar or pool or from the restaurant on the ground floor. The only noise that was troublesome was children on our floor racing up and down the hall and banging on doors for fun, but the hotel quickly took care of that. Aside from a quiet stay, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom is thoughtfully designed and we always had warm water and great water pressure. We did have once instance of the shower not draining but it was quickly resolved. The views were incredible and the blackout curtains were perfect, fully covering the windows; no rays of light sneaking in like so many traditional curtains. The Hyatt app allowed us to Chromecast to the TV when we were relaxing and wifi was fast. While there isn't a traditional desk area to work from the lobby has plenty of room to settle in comfortably and work from a laptop if needed. This was a trip to celebrate a milestone birthday and the tommie Hollywood team left a small birthday gift in the room to help us kick off our stay. It was so thoughtful and much appreciated. The location is great-- we were able to walk to much of what we wanted to do in Hollywood/Downtown LA and the rest was a quick Metro or Lyft away. We were mildly nervous about staying in Hollywood, but a lot of revitalization has been done and it was honestly better than our hometown west coast big city in terms of safety/visible unhoused persons. We were steps away from some amazing food/drinks, too-- Intelligensia, Bahn Oui, Love2Eat Thai Bistro, Scum and Villany Cantina, the Hollywood Farmers Market on Sunday, and Ka'teen and Desert 5 Spot in the hotel itself. We will be back!

It was a block from Hollywood, and I was a little worried because the neighborhood was so remote and quiet, but it was a safe neighborhood. It was close enough to walk to the Laundry Mart. More than a week, suitable for tourists It was a clean hotel. The staff is friendly, but the room is a bit small. Free coffee and water was good The downside is that breakfast and parking are paid.

The hotel has a complimentary simple breakfast, which is simple bread and coffee juice, simple but also enough, after all, the demand for the motel is not too high! Parking for 10 knives a day, will send a card to enter and exit the parking lot with the card, the card is hung in the conspicuous position of the car glass after parking. The room still has a surprise, the modern style is simple and clean, very good! There are subways around, M is fast food, there is a pavilion supermarket next to the hotel, which is very late, and many everyday things are convenient to buy. Because the hotel does not provide drinking water, we bought a lot of mineral water in the supermarket, eating things! There is a microwave in the room to cook things by yourself. The coffee machine has hot water. For the Chinese partner, it is still necessary to find hot water in winter... and the young girl at the front desk said that they will open the coffee machine to pick up hot water... The hotel is also very convenient to go to the Universal Studios of the Avenue of Stars. not bad

My husband and I stayed here over night catching an early morning flight to Honolulu. We picked this location because we didn’t have a lot of time to explore and this was close to the Hollywood Strip. I didn’t think (but boy was I wrong that) we didn’t need anything fancy for one overnight stay. We’ve stayed in motel 6’s before and had restful sleep. Let me stress, I’m giving this 2 stars because the staff was very nice. Everything about this hotel was definitely not my cup of tea. Parking was very crowded, cars in sardine cans. Every time we needed to leave, it took at least 10 minutes backing the car in and out trying not to hit other cars in the squeezed parking area, rails, building, pillars, vending machine! Omgosh! Our room was right across from the office. The rooms smelled like Cannabis and this gave me such a bad headache. The walls were very thin. The up stairs guest was up all night talking very loud with his TV on. The doors were not insulted and drafty. You could see the light come through the side and threshold. I heard people walking up and down the stairs, sirens, traffic, honking all night as if I was sleeping outside. We found cockroaches crawling in the bathroom and walls!!!! We made sure our luggages were closed and even bought large garbage bags to tie our luggages up. The caulking in the Bathroom was disgusting. Several layers and different sizes. There were a lot of old stains. The table was full of dust. Not too sure what was going on, but the ambulance took someone who was loitering out side of our door to the hospital at 4am in the morning as we were getting ready to catch our flight. Thankfully they left before we needed too. The exit and entry of the parking lot only fits one car coming in or out. My night was pretty much RESTLESS! I did sleep like a baby on the plan so our flight to Hawaii was short. That was the only good thing to say, if that even counts. I would much rather sleep at the airport or my rental car than stay here again.
