I liked the quaintness of the Inn and the staff was great. I was extremely disappointed int the restaurant. Thy were not open for dinner and the breakfast was mediocre at best,

Hillside Inn is an old hotel with a lot of charm. It does not offer a place to work out and it does not have a swimming pool. It does have character and great nighttime views from your private balcony. It is located on the edge of Madison Indiana. From your balcony you have a veiw of Madison Indiana and the Ohio river. It is a great place for adults wanting the feel of a town that is somewhat locked in a long ago time. If you like shopping for antiques there are several very nice antique stores. I highly recommended Hillside Inn and Madison Indiana.

The property was very quaint, yet a little dated. The staff was wonderful. The free breakfast was just okay. We opted to go out to eat instead.

Step back in time at the Hillside! Great stay! Madison, IN always has something going on and the Hillside is the perfect stay for that week-end getaway! Can't wait to go back!!!!

As always it was clean and pleasant. Have stayed there on several occasions and is the Hotel of choice when we visit Madison In. The people are always eager to help and willing to take the time to answer questions.

We loved the view of the bridge and looking down main street from the beautiful windows in the dining area.
Our room was warm and we weren't able to control the temp but we open the window to allow in some cooler air. Love the heated floors in the bathroom. The breakfast was also excellent.

The hotel was clean and was a convenient walking distance from downtown area. The view was beautiful. The only downside was a little road noise. Would stay again.

Great stay. Its an old hotel, expect that and dont look for a 5 start experience. Its historical and thats the feel. Staff was friendly, helpful and polite. The area around the hotel is fun. The stores in the area are overflowing with southern charm. The breakast is what a hotel breakfast is. We ate a light breakfast to start our day, then ate again later in the day. We will be going back. Had a great time and The Hill Top played a role in that stay.
