Captain Pip's Marina & Hideaway

Not the greatest time of year to do lot's of water stuff. Booked several sunset cruises and snorkeling trips but they were canceled at the last minute for not enough participation.

The apartments are in small, colorfull houses which makes a beautiful atmosphere. You can rent bikes, boats and kayaks. It‘s a short walk to the seven mile bridge. You can use bbq grills just outside of the House. Some renovations and utensils for cleaning dishes would make it perfect. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!

The neighborhood was very seedy. The bed was very comfortable. Could be a very cute apartment but needs updating. Little details overlooked, like no light in refrigerator, door to apartment is very difficult to open.

We had a room without a balcony but many lovely places to sit outside by the docks. The room was very clean. We would stay again. If you are into walking/biking - you can go to Pigeon Key on the old 7 mile bridge (it is 2 miles to Pigeon Key on this bridge)

We have stayed at capt pips before but not in this particular room……Loggerhead….the ceilings are very low and the room is very dark….. so dark we had every light burning day and night….we had no hot water the first night and the toilet was filling with hot water!….The ceiling was leaking and a huge puddle was on the floor . Our other rooms we have rented were not like this at all and we were dissapointed. All problems were dealt with and we still enjoyed our stay simply because love the location and we are not picky. This room was nothing like the other room we rented previously even though it was advertised the same

Cute place. Able to walk to dinner, miniature golf and breakfast. Nice firm mattress too!

This hotel was clean, but the lighting in the room was not very good. It was hard to read small print in the room

Cute accommodations, clean and comfy. The pool and dock areas were smaller than anticipated, but we did most of our activities elsewhere. The room was missing a few items (shampoo, conditioner, stir sticks for the coffee). We asked the front desk for these items but never received them. Overall decent stay. Would definitely recommend if you need a comfortable place to hang out without needing too many amenities.

We stayed here for a week in one of the apartments. We did this to cook and save money on meals. However. Knives were all dull with no way to sharpen them. For being a fishing place a suggestion would be to have a fish filet knife in the rooms. The sprayer in the sink doesn’t work. Gas ran out in grill after 1 use. It would also be helpful if the chains on the fans for the lights were longer so you can leave the fan on but turn off the light without having to stand on a share to do so. More than that was the dirt on the floor. Walking around barefoot inside your feet are black. Additionally they had a crew painting all the buildings. While I understand this needs to be done we were constantly in there way as we came and went. Also we were sick during our stay and staying in and they were drilling shutters on all day that made it hard to sleep. We had a balcony but unfortunately could not leave it open or windows due to the smell. A few guests took it upon ourselves to clean the pool so we could go in early on in the trip. The snorkeling trip out of there was really good though. Crew was professional and helpful. I know others that have stayed and been fine with the place, but for us we probably wouldn’t stay there again.
