Steigenberger Coraya Beach

We have been there second time. It was still marvellous. Foods are excellent. Every places are clean. Staff are very, very kindly and caring. To say it in one point: We will come back again! Tom and Claudi

Fabulous friendly staff, comfortable, clean accommodation, delicious food and great location, if you love snorkelling and just wish to recharge the batteries. Second home as been quite a few times.

This was our second holiday at the Steigenberger Coraya Beach this year (first holiday being in February - which we subsequently discovered to be a little cold for us). The weather in mid October was perfect, sea temperature was also very comfortable - no need for wetsuits when swimming/snorkelling in the bay. We were pleased to discover that the WiFi has improved - but still occasionally drops out. All staff went above and beyond to make guests welcome. Our room in Cluster 20 was very comfortable, and we were looked after by Mohamed (great towel artist) superbly. The Animation Team was excellent, with nighty entertainment on the front bar ‘stage’ and a further 9pm show at the amphitheater. Particularly appreciated Lachy Pop (Cuban singer) with an amazing vocal range who could get any party started! I enjoyed the beach yoga sessions with Yasmin from Brazil. Snorkelling from the house reef was wonderful, with a great variety of fish and beautiful coral to see - though the highlight for us was seeing a turtle in the bay. The hotel has provided a handy ramp (with grab rails) which provided easy access into the sea. The shallow reef section is separated by buoys to protect the coral. Better visibility in the morning as the bay becomes quite cloudy in the afternoon. There was a great variety of delicious food in the buffet restaurant. Accompanying wines and beers very good. Had a superb meal in the à la carte restaurant, Fayruz. Also a lovely meal at Zeytoun, the poolside Middle Eastern restaurant at the Alaya hotel next door. The only downside (and clearly nothing to do with the hotel) is travelling to Marsa Alam from the UK, as there are currently no direct flights. We decided to transit via Cairo (entailing a night in an airport hotel). Due to the lack of direct flights to Marsa Alam, very few Brits currently visit this resort (most guests are German with a few Dutch and Italians). However, we understand that TUI plan to introduce direct flights from LGW in the near future - these can’t come soon enough - hooray!

Wonderful accommodation, where you are especially pampered. An added bonus is that the transfer time is only about ten minutes from the airport to your accommodation. Furthermore, there is a reef in front of the resort where you can snorkel or dive. Once you have seen enough then relax on the beach where the beach boys provide you with delicious drinks.

We had a lovely, relaxing holiday, in a beautiful location with great food and very kind and helpful staff members.

Just come back from our third visit to the Coraya Beach and once again we could not fault the service. The staff are all friendly, hardworking and attentive. Want to give a big shout out to Omar one of the entertainment crew. He was so friendly and happy to chat. Omar wasn’t at all pushy but just wanted to make us feel comfortable. Well done Omar and thanks. Hotel room lovely, cleaners were brilliant. Food good. Omelette /pasta chef was very helpful and friendly. Poorly and beach bar servers were so hardworking and never forgot about you. Bob the lifeguard helped me to find a turtle in the bay - fabulous!! Will we return - absolutely. Highly recommend.

Wonderful hotel at Coraya Beach with own coral reef. All staff was very helpful and friendly. Especially staff in Fayruz Restaurant and in spa centre Mivida Spa Beauty as well in Beach Bar- special thanks for Saud. Clean and comfortable rooms , mine had a sea view. Breakfasts were delicious! Very interesting and relaxing was Beduin Evening on the beach. Specjal greetings for the Front Desk ( reception) despite first difficulties.

Second time here but what a excellent staff there is. All very friendly and helpful. Food is good, external restaurants are super. I was told that in a few months after a renovation the Wifi would be better as well, that is the only small remark I would have. Looking forward to come again and have a relaxing holiday like we had this last week
