We really enjoyed our stay here. We were one of three English couples staying in the hotel but were made to feel included by all the team. The animation team worked hard to ensure all guests felt included, even though we were happy to sit back and watch the fun. The food was great although we didn’t enjoy the meal at the L’Oliver restaurant. The rooms were spacious and clean and always plenty of choice in the restaurant. All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you for an enjoyable holiday we won’t forget

Hopefully this review helps other people not make the same mistakes I did! The reviews about “too many French people” make me giggle, we were there for Bastille Day, so it was very French, but staff didn’t treat us any differently, we loved it. If the hotel was full of British people I'd have hated it, us Brits are awful! The Hotel: The hotel itself is beautiful, no issues with cleanliness (the toilets in the main hall always smelled a little – I think just cause there was no windows/ fresh air in there, but staff were always in cleaning it – people should just poop in their hotel room!!) I couldn’t figure out how to work the air conditioner when we arrived, and when I called reception someone came up straight away. The beach was also a hidden gem, always really quite – and the water was so cold, which was just what I needed sometimes. The Room: The room was fine, maids were lovely, only thing I struggled with was the heat – as when you take your key card out the slot it turns the air-con off, which normally doesn’t bother me but the air-con took a while to actually cool down the room. I learned around 3 days into the holiday that you could shove literally any card into the slot, so I left a business card in there and after that the room was lovely & cool! No issues with noise, bugs, dirt or anything like that, beds were comfy. The only main issue I had – was that I couldn’t get Wifi in my room which was really annoying, but we didn’t spend much time in there anyway. The Pool: Standard ‘no sunbeds’ when we came down in the morning, however a lovely male member of staff found us some when we asked, we made the effort to get up earlier for the rest of the week, so no issues really. The beach always had sunbeds if there was none by the pool anyway. The towels were a slight nightmare for us – as we didn’t have cash for the deposit & the hotel doesn’t have a cash machine, so on our first day we had to wander around for ages to find a cash point whilst being *harassed* by men working in the shops. (When I say harassed, it was awful – they were following us to the cash point, not taking no for an answer etc) This obviously wasn’t the hotels fault but wanted to mention it for anyone who like me – never has any cash on holiday anymore! We ended up just buying some towels from one of the market stalls once we found a cash point. Food: We spoke to a few other ‘brits abroad’ whilst we were by the pool (there was only I think about 10 of us, but it was Bastille Day, so we expected this). Everyone said that they had a bad stomach for the first few days they arrived, as did me and my partner. We also read the previous reviews so we were kind of expecting it. The food was nice, they had a BBQ outside, pasta bar, generally lovely food, but I was initially convinced this was why I was feeling sick. I tried eating different things every day, not eating, going outside the hotel, only drinking bottled water, not drinking alcohol – with no luck. By d

I can’t quite believe I’ve given this hotel 4/5 given the terrible start to our stay, yet the location, the good food and friendly staff (other than those at reception) won me over. On arrival the reception staff refused to accept I had a booking and it was resolved only hours later when the manager stepped in. However we were given a terrible room with a broken tv and shower and two single beds covered by shabby blankets in lieu of anywhere to sit. It looked onto a flat roof with some debris such as an empty vodka bottle! qThank goodness there was a clean bed to sleep on. We were told that the hotel was full but we were promised a room change after breakfast the next day. However the next morning I experienced one of the most atrocious customer service experiences of my life when an extremely unpleasant, rude and constantly smirking woman receptionist refused to try to change the room and insisted we wouldn’t get a better one, despite me having paid a higher price for a superior room. She acted as if I was an inconvenience and turned away from me to laugh with other customers about my situation! I had to ask 3 times before she called the manager, a different one this time. He too, after a very long wait did eventually change the room to a suite. It was rather old in design with an 80s vibe but clean and spacious with a good comfortable bed. However it was 24h after our arrival before we could relax in an adequate room. We and many other guests suffered from the extreme heat ( Tunisia had an unseasonably hot October) - the stock response to this was « the aircon is switched off on 15 Sept ! « And that was that! However, the hotel’s public areas in a classical Tunisian style are very attractive, there’s a big pool and the food was generally good. Lots of fresh salad and well-made Tunisian dishes. Although we didn’t participate in the many activities on offer, the animation team seemed to be doing a great job and had a real rapport with the guests. Sea-swimming involved negotiating a thick bank of sea**** which the hotel states it doesn’t attempt to clear for ecological reasons. It was a little off-putting first time round but we soon got used to it and the sea in the bay is beautiful. The great majority of the guests come via a French travel company so everything is very French - focused. It did feel a bit odd at times, and certainly the needs of the French guests seemed to override those of everyone else, which certainly made some of the Tunisian guests cross. But overall I’d say that with some attention to the tired decor in the rooms and a complete overhaul of the very poor service by the reception team this would be a really great, good value place to stay.

THIS IS NOT A 4* HOTEL! It’s a 2* hotel! Hotel is dark and backdated. All furniture needs to be upgraded, bedrooms are disgusting. Cleaners do not clean rooms properly. We were changed 3 times and the state of the bathroom was disgusting. We booked with love holiday who refused to change us, we provided them with all evidence but they expected us to stay in this hotel, it’s dirty and back dated. This was honestly a holiday from hell. Hotel is disgusting nothing good about it apart from pool and beach. Hotel turned off AC! It got as warm as 27 degrees in our room at night, we had to leave balcony door open which allowed mosquitoes to bite us every night. I am shocked they advertised this dump as a 4*! Please please please avoid at all costs it’s going to ruin your holiday like it did ours! We are in the process of suing Love holiday!

Arrived to a lovely looking hotel, in a party of 11 of us for a two week holiday. First impressions the hotel looks lovely, check in was fairly quick and got our room numbers etc and unpacked... so misleading...if you arrive here and are not French then AVOID.. nothing but a nightmare from therefore.. the staff are arrogant and the guy in the shop changes his prices from 10 euros to 30 euros for the same thing daily. The only positive from the experience is the animations team who are absolutely amazing. 6 out of 5 for them.. French are treated like VIP and anyone else is been ok. Vile vile service. Never return

This hotel is advertised as a 4* and comes no where near 4*. On arrival the lobby is beautiful and one is lured into thinking this is going to be a lovely hotel. How wrong can you be! On arrival at 2330, we were met by a surly receptionist who gave us our key cards and left us to it. We had to find our own way to the lifts and our rooms. We were travelling as two couples and both rooms had not been cleaned and the bed linen had not been changed from previous guests. After 2 hours we were given bed linen from other rooms and left to make the beds ourselves eventually getting to bed at 145 am. Despite reporting this to reception the rooms were eventually cleaned 2 days later, however we had to request towels as there were none in the rooms. All the reception were extremely unhelpful, dismissive and rude. Food was a hit and miss, some days ok others awful. The animation team and the lifeguard (can’t remember his name) were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. They made our holiday. The view from our room was amazing and the weather fantastic however this hotel has distorted our view of Tunisia and we will not return.

This is the most terrible hotel I have ever had on my whole life. One exception is the reception staff "Rim" who was good. Other than that everything (food, service, staff attitude, etc...). This hotel cannot even be a one star hotel.

We came to this hotel as a family of 7. The positives, it's in a beautiful location, has a decent outdoor area and is fairly accessible. Now on to the negatives. The hotel is in urgent need of some serious TLC. it has the infrastructure to be a 4* hotel, however, due to an abject lack of maintenance, I would class it as a 2*. Rooms rarely cleaned, we had to change rooms due to the poor state if our first room. The second room was a slight upgrade, however the bidet was blocked, broken toilet seat and on our 3rd night, the shower flooded. We reported this to reception and it was only unblocked after 24 hours when we had no access to a shower. All members of our party came down with diarrhea due to poor food hygiene. Poultry was often not properly cooked and even doughnuts were not cooked through. Food also insufficiently labelled for those in our party who had severe food allergies. Fir example, my daughter has a severe allergy to nuts and sesame seeds, there was sesame seeds in the beetroot salad! To cap it, the ice cream was not labelled and what appeared to be coffee or chocolate ice cream, turned out to be some type of nut ice cream which I tasted before my daughter ate it. We would often ask restaurant staff what was in the food and often they could not understand us or they would just day they don't know. Even potatoes, simple potatoes were often not cooked through. Soft drinks were awful with cheap coke and Fanta replacements that were sickly sweet. No lemonade at all! Extremely low morale with staff who report being poorly paid and all looking to leave ASAP. Management clearly does not care about guests and this is reflected in the poor treatment by staff and especially reception staff who were so rude and uncaring. We arrived around 3am and the night shift receptionist was clearly asleep and we were left in the dark lobby alone for around 20 mins before the night guard woke him up. He was clearly asleep, could not find our booking and did not arrange for basic reception facilities as one would expect from a 4* hotel. We had to figure out our own way to the lifts and to our rooms. Apparently from speaking to other holiday makers, this is the first year that they have come to the regency and found things so bad. This seems to be attributed to a change on ownership/management. I can highly recommend Chadia who really tried her best to assist with our complaints as well as the pool guy and the animation team. 5 members of our team had chronic diarrhea throughout our stay and will definitely not return to this awful hotel. When we made a formal complaint, the management response was to state that we deliberately blocked the shower drain ourselves and broke the toilet seat ourselves. An absolute and shameful lie. I have never experienced such an abject lack of care to paying guests. We specifically booked this hotel for an indoor pool as a member of our party has a phobia and can only swim in an indoor pool. On arrival, the indoor poo
