The staff at the reception was very courteous and nice while checking in, but they need to little English, as it is impossible to get a reply to any question asked. Even the restaurant staff in the morning breakfast had no idea what I requested for, I mean if someone is working for a brand like Howard Johnson, they ought to know basic English. I am again saying the staff was very nice and tried everything they could do to make us comfortable, but then the right connect was missing.

We really enjoyed our stay here and were pleastantly surprised by the quality of the rooms and the service. The hotel was finished in 2018, and is still in great condition. The rooms are clean, with beautiful bathrooms and great views. The lobby and restaurant are on the 35th floor and are super ostentacious - 3 storey ceilings on the 35th floor! It's a lot of fun. Breakfast is mostly Chinese food, with a few Western options thrown in. Overall satisfied with the breakfast. The noodle bar is good. They have a coffee machine and take your coffee order when you sit. The swimming pool is great, way up on the 37th floor. This was a highlight for our family. You can see most of the city from the pool, and the rest of the city from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the change rooms! There is a wet sauna (open in the mens room, closed in the womens room). There is a nice Japanese restaurant on the first floor, but there isn't much else around in the immediate vicinity. We didn't try the hotel restaurants outside of breakfast. Eleme might be your best bet. The service was fantastic, and there were a number of moments when the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my family and I had a good stay. The city is developing quickly, and there was a lot of construction during our stay. The construction didn't interfere with our sleep. The rooms were silent!

If you’re not needing the downtown CBD area, then this hotel isn’t for you. It’s difficult to find due to one-way streets, and all the drivers had trouble finding the entrance, which was always filled with several parked cars making it more difficult for drivers to enter/exit. The views in the room are all of other buildings across the street. However, the worst part of my experience was when the hotel disabled the air conditioning in the room in the middle of the night. When I complained, I was moved to a larger room that was literally 1 degree cooler, and an electric fan was placed in the bedroom. But between 1 and 4am, the room was sweltering, as many hotels are in smaller cities around China. I understand local brands doing this to save money, but this is an international brand. When I complained the second time, an employee told me Chinese people don’t like to sleep with the air conditioning on. I know that’s not true. Finally, the buffet breakfast was disappointing compared to other hotels of the same price/category. I won’t be returning.

This time I came to Xiangshan to experience this newly opened hotel! Really feel better. Howard Johnson Dragon Elephant is a hotel that accidentally discovered on Ctrip this time. In fact, there are really many hotels around the passenger transport center, but they have just opened, and you have to go to the adventure, the most important thing is that they are very new = not many people have lived in = very clean, hehe. I have to boast about the reception of the young lady, it's really nice and very polite. When I came, I was ready to smell it, haha, but it felt okay, there was a little bit in the aisle, and there was nothing in the room. The layout of the room is quite simple and refreshing. The most surprising thing is that the whole house is intelligent, and it is very convenient to be small. The welcome fruit is presented, which feels quite considerate. I have to praise the breakfast, the taste is really super, the quality of the waiters is also very high, the milk will come to ask to help add it immediately when there is no milk, it is really considerate, super praise! Next time I come to Xiangshan, I will flop Dragon Elephant again!

I chose this hotel for a business trip to Beilun. The price is not very low, but the hotel still has many areas that need improvement. 1. There is no self-operated gym, which is really not what a star-rated hotel should be. 2. The hotel upgraded to an executive room for free, but when I went in and saw the condition of the bathroom and the toilet seat that was yellowing, I couldn't believe that I had gone to the wrong place. 3. I called the guest room center at night to ask for a bottle of water. No one answered the call for the first time. 4. Went for breakfast at 9 a.m., and at first glance, most of the tables were not cleared, and there were still leftovers left by others. 5. The breakfast staff was off duty, leaving only empty plates and tools. After waiting for a while, no one was there. 6. Before 9:30, the staff started to collect the food in a hurry. 7. The color of the furniture in the room is dark brown, which makes it feel rather depressing. 8. There are many other business premises in the hotel, and the personnel are relatively complex. But there are also good places. The location is good and there is a square nearby. The hotel has a swimming pool, rich breakfast, and convenient parking.

The experience was very pleasant. I went there with my wife and daughter along with one more couple. We enjoyed our stay pretty much. The food in the Chinese restaurant on the second floor was very delicious. I wish the breakfast was a bit better. The hot spring area is amazing! With so many different hot springs it's pretty easy to find privacy with your family in friends. The room was clean and beautiful. There is an old village very close by when you can find many souvenirs and food, as well as to experience the spirit of the village walking the small streets aside from the main touristic alley. From the village you can get on a hiking trail and enjoy the beautiful nature around the lake. I will definitely visit the hotel again!
