Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton

Zachari Dunes is a great family-resort. For whatever reason it seemed under-staffed and some of the smaller amenities and activities were not available on weekdays.

The rooms were beautiful and so spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property grounds were lovely, and we could step right out onto the beautiful beach at Oxnard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming again!

We visited for two days during Christmas time with 2 children under five and it was wonderful. Clean, fun, close to Los Angeles, where we are from.

The resort was amazing. But the billing and charges - not so much. The resort was beautiful and comfortable. Our family immediately decided that we must make this a yearly stay. Upon checking in, they put a hold of $150 PER NIGHT for incidentals that they said could go towards the parking, resort fees, food, bar fees (2 night stay =$300). With the resort fees, county taxes, parking, ect - your looking at about $70 per day ontop of your original booking fees. We billed a few drinks to our room - so after checking out, our charges totaled $281.93. The hotel processed the charges to my bank of $281.93 but also placed an additional hold of $431.93 - which oddly was exactly $150 over our checkout invoice. Mind you this was over Christmas vacation so a lot of spending was going on. This additional hold of $431.93, caused my checking account to go into negative and I incured overdraft charges due to this mistake. I tried calling the hotel multiple times, where they transferred me to their accounting department. I was sent to voicemails and never received a call back. The hold was cancelled and after calling my bank, they reversed the overdraft charges. Ultimately this was a huge hassle. We loved our stay and would like to make it a yearly tradition. Just have mixed feelings. Would be nice if a manager reached out to make things right.. I will be sure to use a credit card next time. Also, please list these added fees on your listings ($36 a night for self parking - ect

After the remodeling, we visited the hotel for the first time and were impressed with the results. The staff was helpful and friendly, making our stay enjoyable. We were delighted to find out that they had a Christmas program, which added to the overall experience. We would recommend staying in the upper floor rooms if possible. The hotel also had a fantastic gym, pool, game room, and seating area with a fireplace, providing plenty of entertainment options. We are definitely planning to return in the future.

Quick visit for an overnight to see a show up at Levity Live. Little bit overkill for only 1 night, but it was a great stay. Looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy more of the amenities, beach, and other services inbetween. Cool little diner setup for quick bite + drinks near pool. As well as the fine dining restaurant(Ox and Ocean) was perfect for a before event meal, since we hadnt made reservations anywhere. Really great cocktails and tapas.

Beautiful location right on beach. Our ro0m was a suite with a great view. Very nice walking path along beach. Grounds of the hotel were very nice and comfortable. An upscale experience for sure.

We have long loved this Property. But what makes it special is not only the perfect beach front location but the excellent staff. It is a gem !!
