Racha Island
Just spent 4 days here it is a Beautiful island, however disappointing the amount of daily boat trips that arrive. Flooding the beaches and the guides walk round blowing whistles to round there groups up! When your a hotel guest and trying to relax pretty impossible. Lack of sun beds only 12 sun beds with cushions, the rest are plastic and when I tried to lie on one in the sun was told it’s 100 baht! Not what u expect when are staying on the island. It’s also 20 baht every time you need the toilet, not acceptable for hotel guests either. The food in the restaurant is good food, not enough waiting staff tho, u have to constantly get up and ask for everything very slow service for drinks and orders to be taken. Plastic in the corners of the beach, no one seems to care or even attempt to clear it away, it’s just hidden round the corner out of sight out of mind. When leaving the island we booked the 3pm direct boat bk to the pier, conveniently this boat was broken. So u have to join the snorkelling trip and go via coral island. This island could be so much better than it is!!! The room we had was clean and big! The decor is really odd! Feels like an old English mannor house, not very Thai! Really needs updating. Doesn’t warrant a 4 star rating! I’d give it a 3! Evenings the restaurant last orders are 7,30 and it closes at 8, no other option for a bar either. There is a shop where u can buy the usual. The pool was grotty, with stagnant pond water round the outside, so many mosquitoes recommend u take a can of bug spray for your room.

Imagine fluffy white beach, imagine sand like powder, imagine no more, with Racha between your feet and dashed between your toes….. a lovely isolated hotel in the middle of nowhere, with nothing else but it’s two restaurants and bar…. Idyllic if you just wanna get away, away from it all, get lost in a starry starry night and slumber where dreams float on memories lost…. Stayed in a spa pool Villa…. Water was rather cool in the Villa however rooms were fabulously spacious and luxurious…. Was rather impressed with the whole digital APP on check In experience, however I think they have a lot to do to bridge the offline and online experience…. The APP looks fabulous, but the customer experience ends there…. Having said that, a lovely location with nice staff…. You are on an island after all, with no competition, so what do you expect….Enjoyed an early morning run through the island and then a dip in the sea….. Yoga with Julie was wonderful….nice bar and attentive bar staff…. Including the odd roaming lizard

Racha Island
I stayed in a deluxe room in Ban Leia for 5 days as a solo tourist and I came here to experience the diving trip. I really enjoyed the time I stayed here: yes, the room was a bit old but very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. I feel that my room is really lucky in such a location, number 20, where you can see the beautiful sea view and is surrounded by tropical plants. This resort covers a large area and contains two bays. A legendary shallow area, yes, there are diving boats for a few hours a day. The garden is beautifully maintained and I love the oversized pool. The food was just fantastic, try the prawn salad that was placed in half a pineapple Raya. Breakfast can be delivered anywhere and lunch at the pool or on the beach is so charming. Diving with diver Raya was a great experience, Raya was fun, extremely patient and kind. Also enjoyed exploring the island and riding. All in all, I highly recommend this lovely resort.
