Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya All Inclusive - Adults Only

Service and food were excellent. The property was spotless. The only problem we had was they put us in a building with construction noise and we asked to move, which we did. Also, the rooms are very automated, and the air conditioning sensor didn't work properly. Otherwise, everything was excellent. Food was great and had no problems getting a table. They do close one restaurant each night, so make sure you find out which ones are closed during your stay. Also, we loved the piano bar with the specialty drinks, but the piano was extremely out of tune. It sounded like a cheap saloon in a western movie. Sad considering the piano player was very good. Overall we would go back again and probably will.

Our stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach.

The staff is very professional, very friendly & helpful. Service was exceptional. The rooms, restaraunts, pools, spa, bars & beach were all great. Exceeded our expectations & we'll definitely be going back in the future.

A place where we feel pampered and loved. The staff are all very attentive to our needs and fast in delivering their services. 7 different-themed restaurants with great food and good NIghtly music. Room accommodation is spacious and has that romantic atmosphere.

The grounds of this resort are stunning. Service was not the best we had. Food was pretty good. The entertainment was also not the best. Swim up room was the way to go!

The resort is large and beautifully landscaped. The junior suite in building 3 was a perfect location. We loved our ground floor room where we could sit outside and enjoy the wildlife. Service of our room was excellent. Breakfast and lunch, food was good. Dinner was definitely hit or miss. Dinner service was very bad. Wait staff seemed disinterested in attending to guests beyond basic service. They never returned to the table to refresh drinks. This was not an isolated incident, it occurred throughout the resort. Food quality was ok. The seafood choices were good, beef was tough and stringy. The drinks were fine. Not much alcohol in the drinks but that’s ok. Overall this was a nice vacation. We won’t return to this resort since it didn’t meet our expectations for service and food quality.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Valentin Imperial Rivera Maya. The staff were all friendly, professional and very attentive for all of our needs. This was our first visit with Valentin Imperial and we can see why so many people return. We will plan to come again! The only areas that were not the ideal level were the gym, workout and spa areas. I think the classes were great options; however, the facilities were VERY small for the size of the resort and volume of visitors. Also, if you wanted any higher quality wines and/or liquors you had to pay quite a bit extra in order to have any non-house options. Other than that, the food, activities, accommodations were all exceptional. We will definitely consider a return visit in the future!
