Friendly check-in, room excellent with all facilities provided for. View of river outstanding and birdlife varied and abundant. Location close to restaurants most convenient. Breakfast really excellent and enjoyed on our private patio.

The only complaint one can have is that there was nothing to complain about. The hosts are genuine and friendly and it does not feel like they are acting. They do everything possible to make you feel welcome. Second time I have stayed there and they will remain my first choice.

Really enjoyed staying here in a beautiful location with excellent hosts, Fabulous breakfasts, recommendations on places to visit including the local and top quality golf club. Very modern and superbly equipped bedroom.

Our short stay at Kowie River Guest House was simply wonderful! The view of the Kowie River from our room was absolutely mesmerizing, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. The property itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and the sparkling pool was a refreshing oasis on a warm day. The friendly staff made us feel right at home, providing exceptional service throughout our visit. We left with beautiful memories and a desire to return for a longer stay. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

A must when we visit South Africa. Our umpteenth visit and as good as ever Wonderful hospitality from the hosts and a great clean, bright room with large terrace overlooking the river. No need to move just sit and look out over the ever changing vista. Birds abound. Great sunsets. Breakfast served in your room/terrace sets you up for the day. Quality quality quality in an area that allows so much for a relaxed but varied holiday.

Loved my stay at this exceptional guesthouse. Immaculately clean, extraordinary attention to detail, best location in Port Alfred, stunning river view, and a breakfast on the patio fit for a king! Ditte and Graham are wonderful hospitable hosts.

It was perfect in everyway. Beautifully situated on the river, extremely comfortable and wonderful hosts. Breakfast was outstanding. Enjoy an african sunset on the patio or a trip up the river.

Our first choice for accommodation in Port Alfred. Spacious and clean with amazing breakfasts. Such lovely welcoming hosts too. There is now a generator which helps with power cuts. Gorgeous view of the river, nice and quiet but easy walking distance to the town.

An excellent guesthouse. Friendly hosts. Great accommodation. Clearly lots of attention paid to detail. Everything works the way it should. We didn't have any meals at the establishment but were directed to a very nice pub close to the golf course for dinner.
