The beach in front of the resort was great, very little to no sea**** when we stayed. The staff were attentive and friendly-they were the best part of the trip. Food and drinks were good.

Beautiful grounds, excellent and profesional staff each one of them, However, room needs serious upgrading, ceiling fan and TV did not work and water pressure was disappointing to say the least, pool and beach chairs not easy to obtain,

The resort was very nice. Most of the staff were very friendly and super helpful. Having a coffee/tea cafe was great.
The food was pretty good. I did get sick one night after having tried salad and dressing. The items that need to stay cold don’t. It would be more helpful if the staff spoke English. A lot of them did but a few didn’t. Made it hard to ask questions or tell them something. I understand we are in their country but they chose to work at a vacation resort.
Entertainment was good.
We would go back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The place is beautiful and properly maintained as well as the resort beach. We had an ocean view room and the view is spectacular! The only minor complaint we had was that the room was a bit outdated and could use some touch up. Other than that beautiful resort and very friendly staff always there to help. Loved our experience there!!

Overall it’s not a “bad” resort it’s just not what I expected, when traveling to DR I was expecting what I had back 10 years ago in ‘14 at Riu in Puerto Plata, lots of music and entertainment ALL day long, this place is more of a relaxing resort with order people entertainment which was a buzz kill for us since we went to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday and we wanted to dance and enjoy a great time with that Latin flavor and we didn’t get that, we also were persuaded to “UPGRADE” for the amount of $280 American dollars that we would get a better more luxurious room and access to “club” amenities, total B U L L S H I T all the rooms are the same crappy color, size and decoration and the accent to the “private” beach everyone had it by the way so don’t let them convince you like they convinced me, the grounds are kept in good shape and the staff is awesome, I have no complaints about the staff, courteous, friendly and always ready to serve your needs so the staff is great!

I loved the experience. US hotels could learn from this resort on how customer service should be done. The property and staff were wonderful. The only suggestion I have is the rooms need updating.

The rooms need more TLC. The food is good, not great. Very salty. The workers are amazing!
Perhaps more staff at the lobby bar, waiting was always long.
Ala Cart restaurant can do better by serving 1 item at a time, many times we received course 1,2,3 at the same time.
The hibachi was super friendly and chefs amazing!
Beds very comfortable! Maids very sufficient
