We've stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and know that they generally come with surcharges or taxes that aren't exactly well advertised. The Marriot in Redmond really takes the cake in this regard. The $143 rate caught my eye, but it was $16 more if you wanted it fully refundable, or $159. Then we add 4 separate local taxes and a $14 parking charge. The end result is $143 turns into $183 per night, which probably would not have caught my attention. Where do the additional charges end?

Very friendly staff at the front desk and at breakfast. Clean room and nicely arranged.
The only complaint would be the slow elevator. We often took the stairs but we were on the sixth floor so we couldn’t always take it carrying heavy items. We were grateful for the secure parking.

I reserved a suite for two adults and two children. By the time we arrived, the sofa bed was not prepared and there was not even the stuff in the room to do so by ourselves.
On the ******* side it said 'parking available', but not that it would cost an extra14 $.
Everything else was OK, but not more.

We really enjoyed having the 2 bedroom suite
It worked well for 5 of us
The breakfast was good and service was great everyone was super helpful and nice
My kids enjoyed the pool and it was a nice area to hang out
Would have liked a hot tub
Its about 20 minutes to get to downtown Seattle ( no traffic ) but with traffic on the Friday night it took an hour
Rooms were clean beds were average

Maintenance man walked into our room unannounced while my wife was naked and our children were sleeping, demanding to change the filter on the AC unit. After he was told to leave the room he demanded to know how soon we could leave and continued to pester my wife every twenty minutes, demanding he be granted access to our room.
The other issue was the jackhammers down below our windows starting early in the morning and continuing on through the day.
