從當年的羅斯福，到現在的拜登，來舊金山都下榻這個酒店。酒店很古老，也很大。一樓的聖誕裝飾，讓遊客絡繹不絕。
酒店的服務非常好，專業，有時候中文也通用，不愧是服務過總統的，不過酒店設施就一般了，就算是上百平米的套房，也逃不過幾平米的小衞生間。淋浴需要站在浴缸裏，洗手枱很小，不小心的話，牙刷牙膏會掉進馬桶。
網絡非常好，這點可以。
坐落在全舊金山最高點，視野很棒，房間直接瞭望**島。沿着山坡走下去，2條街後就是唐人街和聯合廣場，回來需要爬坡，有點辛苦。

喜歡歷史感的酒店的客人會很喜歡這家酒店的：很富故事性，保養得敢很好，一百年前的富麗堂皇到現在仍感覺到。
可惜人員水平低下，房間有問題時，從不想解決方案，只會打電話過來，冷冰冰的說：「Just to let you know that you cannot get the refund anyway」。

酒店確實老牌，周圍也都是各種酒店，位置很不錯，大堂富麗堂皇，電梯也是很有韻味，客房樓層的佈局真的有一種年代感，房間更有年代感。不過當時是看中了Le Labo的洗護所以來的，第一次見到這種大瓶的。
